Fitprime Up & Down

Does anyone have this workout, and if so, what do you think of it? I have had this one for almost 2 yrs. and have only embarked on it a few times. I pulled this one out yesterday and was becoming a little frustrated with it at first, but then got into it and started to enjoy it. I sure worked up quite a sweat and I can feel it in my abs, butt and legs today. I guess it's the constant changing in equipment/exercises, then I would forget what leg I was on and had to keep rewinding. I also used a 10lb. medicine ball which encouraged the sweat factor, but modified some movements. Any comments?

Well ... if you want an honest opinion ... I did not enjoy any of the FitPrimes, and I had the first seven. I've since given them all away. The workouts were so-so, but most of the moves I found bizarre, and some were downright wrong, in terms of safely and using good form. I know others on here will disagree, so PLEASE bear in mind everyone that this is only one person's OPINION, and nothing more. The original poster did ask for opinions, and that is all this is. Anyway ... even if I had enjoyed the workouts themselves, the horrible and sloppy editing on the VHS tapes (which is what I had) took so much away from the workout that it wouldn't have mattered what moves she put into them. The tapes were so poorly edited, the lighting was awful, and the sound quality was so poor, that it distracted me each and every time from getting a good workout. I didn't sell them because I didn't feel right charging my friends and family money for them, so I simply gave them away.

Just want to add I have nothing against Jeanne Anne, the instructor on "Up and Down". JAC is a fabulous instructor, and I really love her on Tracie Long's "Core Foundations"!

Well anyway, that's only my opinion, and I'm sure others have differing ones. I hope you enjoy the workout and find it useful.

I just did up and down tonite...I like it..it toasts the buns...haha..I do agree with Carol about tape quality (doesnt really bother me though.. what I dont like is the quick changes between lower body and upper body... I have to stop the tape so I can change the barbell.. I do 40# on lower body and about 20# on upper. i do find that a pain. My favorite fitprime is weights first, it fries the lower body to the max

I always enjoyed Up and Down as a tough, fat burning circuit workout. In fact, now that I am into doing circuits with Cathe's new DVD's I think I will pull that one out and do it tomorrow! I sort of forgot about it.

I think I need to do this one more often, because it really fried my butt. I did this Sunday and my butt is still sore. Yikes! I think I will like it more once I realize what's coming next.
