Good Evening, Ladies!

I see posts often times on here about all of this wonderful fitness clothing that all of you have or are purchasing. Everytime I see a post, I check out the website and it's always just too dang expensive for my blood.:-(

I want to buy nicer work out clothes because when I look better I also feel better and then I'l be even more motivated to exercise but I don't want to spend too much money. Can anyone recommend nice, decent quality clothing that I can purchase with out having to take out a loan to afford it?:p :)

TIA!

I get Nike, Marika, Avia and Champion tops and all at low prices at my local TJMaxx and Marshalls discount store. I pay average $12 for an exercise top.

Also, Target has great shorts for $6.99, with just 3 inch leg length. The label name is Moret.

Check it out!

I'm with you on the expensive active wear! I feel better when I look good AND I know it's cheap!!! ;) So, I also go Target shopping! The Moret brand is great and they have "bras"(~$8.99) and tanks(~14.99) too.

I always wear a separate support/compression bra underneath anyway so my outer look can be anything I want without fear of the "sags" in my 50's.

Edited to mention:
Walmart also carries Danskin and Athletic Wear brands for around the same prices as the Target stuff. They have some cute patterns too. I saw a tank with quarter size polka-dots all over the front, but I just couldn't see myself in it. I see enough "spots" doing Cathe! :)

My hands up as "another" Target shopper for active wear.

Ive bought some very nice, expensive looking (but not!) pants and zipped tops with hoods, to wear on the way to the gym, and to change into after.

No one would guess they werent a so called "BRAND" name if I didnt tell them so Im more than happy to continue shopping there. I also wear out alot of my workout clothes fast (due to the salt in my sweat I think) so theres NO WAY Im spending big $$$$$$$$$

I'm also another clearance, TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshall's shopper. I like quality W/O clothes, but I think they are too expensive. I usually don't mind spending money on fitness stuff. I have all of Cathe's W/O, some even on both VHS & DVD. I just think it's obscene that they charge SO MUCH for so little fabric. I know, I know, a lot of it is in the workmanship. I am trying to get over this.

Anyway, I have bought a Nike track suit this past November that cost about $150 altogether. I am not bragging. I am just trying to relate to you how I am trying to get over this phobia of spending so much on WO clothes. But I have not been able to do it since.

The drawback of buying clearance stuff is that they never have the coordinating outfit and many times they have too large a size. Needless to say, when I found a cute, flattering pair of black bicycle shorts a while back, I wore those things out until they would not last another day.

I feel your pain.

Oh, another thing. I hate shopping , but my DH loves it. (Go figure) He loves going to Target & especially loves the clearance. A lot of my WO clothes are from there because he gets them for me. But I don't count on getting a matching outfit unless you pay full price.

Thanks so much ladies!

I think we have a winner!

Target is right down the road from me! :)
I actually go there a lot but it's never for clothing so I had no clue what they carried! Thanks for the info. I'll be headed there very soon!

I buy mine at Wal-Mart. I just got a pair of yoga pants for $9.93 and a Danskin t-shirt for $7.00. I saw the polka dot tank too - I like it but not sure if I'll get it or not - I saw a black & fushia one I liked much better.

I don't have a target anywhere near where I live. x(

I'm with Marla! i am a Marshalls and Ross junkie! they have everything for soooo cheap and i am a bargian shopper. it's true about finding matching stuff though! i loled at that one! i just buy solid colored pants (navy and grey) and that way, as long a s the tops have that color in them somewhere, i look somewhat like i had the light on while getting dressed.

Then again, i don't really care if i match cause i workout at home with only two dogs staring at me and dogs are colorblind!!!!so there!

Target fitness gear clearance rack is my weekly obsession. My personal record so far is two tops with shelf bra for $1.98 each, plus they're cute!

I have to wear an additional sports bra under for cardio, but not for weights.

I don't have to match (though I try), cause not even the dog is up to watch me!;-)

hotskins.com sometimes has really good sale prices on selected items (tops for $6, that were originally over $20, for example).
