We hear so much conflicting information (and of course, the devil is in the details, so something that seems like the information is conflicting might just be a matter of being specific. It also helps to consider the source of the info). I thought it might be fun to post some examples- here's a few to get us started:
Does anyone else have some to add?
- steady state cardio is the way to go/HIIT cardio is the way to go (in fact, both should be used)
- heavy lifting low reps is best/light weights lots of reps is best (bodies respond best to lots of change, so using both is great- and mixing it up even more is better)
- eggs are bad for you/eggs are good for you (eggs are mostly good for you, but too much of anything can be overkill)
- soy is good for you/soy will give you breast cancer
- eat lots of lean protein/too much protein will kill you
- low carb diets will lean you out/low carb diets will give you a heart attack (well, kinda depends what you do with the rest of your nutrients- if you are eating low carb and high trans fats, you might be the skinniest corpse in the cemetary!)
Does anyone else have some to add?
