Fitness Freak Rotation Question - THANKS :-)

Hi Debbie!

If you have some time, could you please take a look at my rotation below and let me know what you think? I based it on your Get Ready for summer rotation with some changes using different workout. My goal is to loose fat and and really tone up (especially in the upper body). I am hoping to loose that 10 pounds that I have been struggling with. I know that diet is key and I am working on cleaning that up, but just wanted your opinion on the best appraoch to take based on my goals. Should I be doing more cardio? Less?

Thanks so much for your help
Maggie

Your rotation looks good but at the end of each week you have a circuit workout and then an upper body workout the next day. Your muscles need rest, so with each week switch Day 6 with Day 7. So do SJ&P on Day 6 and do Imax 2 on Day 7.

Same with weeks 2, 3 & 4 - switch days 6 & 7.

Also with week 1 you have 4 days of ab work if you plan on doing the abs in SJ&P. Cut that down to 2 ab workouts for the week. For any week, as a matter of fact. You can overtrain your abs just like any other muscle group. Two days a week for ab training is sufficient.

Otherwise, it looks great!

Thanks so much Debbie! I will make those changes, that makes sense. I am used to doing more cardio but read about the significant benefits of increased weight training on this forum and definitely want to stick to that from now on.
