Fit Tower

I got a fit tower for xmas! I love it! Besides her 3 advanced fit tower workouts, could anyone tell me other dvds that use one. Thank you!

LBB lower body blast. Turbo from LIS Series and Total body STS.
LBB is a fun tough lower body workout.

Try the Body leg conditionning illustrated below from 08:20.

Thanks to the encouragement of nckfitheart2009 I purchased a Fit Tower and enjoy the variety it gives me. :) I use it for Turbo Barre (LIS), Lower Body Blast (Bonus) and STS Total Body (Bonus Chest) and the three FTA programs (Total Body, Boot Camp and Legs, Glutes and Core) as nckfitheart2009 noted above.

I also use it for:
*Kick Max (the Leg Conditioning section)
*X-Train Legs (the Bonus Barre section)
*Lean Legs and Abs (when Cathe and crew use a chair)
*Great Glutes (the chair section)
*STS Chest Press moves (flat bench or incline) - indispensable as a weight rack for my barbell with my step bench underneath. In fact, any time I do chest press (flat bench or incline) I use the Fit Tower.
*STS Pull-ups/Chin-ups (These are super effective and important moves for me but vertical chin-ups on a chin-up bar - whoa! Sooo advanced! The Fit Tower makes them doable. ;))

I rarely use the three programs that came with the Tower (Slim & Trim, Long & Strong and Lean & Mean), but including those I have more than a dozen Cathe workouts for which I make use of the Fit Tower.

I am getting rid of my old weight bench because the fit tower replaces all the uses of a weight bench and takes up less space;) Do you find the barre leg workouts are as effective as heavy weight training for legs?

Not sure if you wanted an answer from jane or me but here is my thought. I would not solely rely on barre as far my health and /or aesthetic is concerned. I need variety.

Heavy weight, both free weight and machines from gym, are needed for a Real transformation. That's my opinion.

Have you got cathe's Fit tower advanced bundle ? Enjoy your tower. I have pulled out mine today.

I agree fully with Nathalie.

For me, one is not more effective than the other. Variety in type and weight load help me work toward the the many results I am looking for - strength, definition, functional ability, bone health (prevention of osteoporosis), maintenance of my muscle mass and endurance so I can get through my day. And variety keeps me motivated and helps me avoid plateaus.

I personally like to use Cathe's programs with 8-12 reps and fairly heavy weights as a foundation (squats, lunges, deadlifts) and then complement that training with both contrast training (love the changes in body composition with that!) and higher rep programs using a barre, mat, looped band, ankle weights and/or a stability ball (these seems to really get lots of small muscles in the lower body and target specific weaker areas). A balanced approach works for me but it may depend on your goals.

As a side note...According to Bret Contreras ('The Glute Guy'), heavy weights are foundational for lower body training and he highly recommends hip thrusts and glute bridges as specific moves not to be missed. Cathe does the 100 Rep Challenge with the hip thrust in X-Train. A super effective piece of the puzzle not to be overlooked!

Yes variety is right! variety is the key! I'm doing slow and heavy right now. With s & h legs ive been following that with a barre work leg workout last night I followed it lower body blast barre
