Fit Moms Check in (Week of 8/28-9/4)

Good morning ladies! Everyone must be so busy.

This weekend was the usual, not much to report except the plane crash that killed 49 out of 50 people Sunday morning in the town where I live. It was on the news here all day Sunday. It is the worst crash in the past 5 years. The NTSB is still trying to figure out what went wrong. They think it is probably a couple factors that contributed to it. It is so sad. The 2 stories that hit me the hardest was the couple that got married Saturday and was only married 12 hours before they died and the 16 year old girl who was a senior in high school that died. Her mom got bumped that morning from the flight. I can’t imagine what her mom must be going through right now.

My workout plans this week are to try to get in running 2 days a week as well as 1 kickboxing & step workout. Here are my workouts from last week and from this week so far:
Monday – 3 mile run
Tuesday - Muscle Endurance
Wednesday – 3 mile run
Sunday – Hardcore Extreme #3, first time doing this workout. Great leg conditioning drills.
Monday (8/29) – Cardio Coach 3, first time doing this workout. Great sprint segments. It is a leg burner.

Today I plan to do either Muscle Max or Muscle Endurance.

Kristan – How are your days going with just you and Gus? Good luck with his surgery on Friday. For some reason I thought he had it done last Friday (I must have quickly read over your post). How are the girls doing in school? Your turtleneck is supercute! It’s a keeper!! I don’t know how you can fit in all of those activities with the kids and still work. By the time I pick the kids up from daycare, fix dinner, and have a few minutes of play time with them, then it is time to put them to bed at 8.

SunnyD – Thanks for the birthday wishes. Actually my birthday isn’t until Sept. 15, but I wanted to get my preorder in before it ended, whenever that is. No I haven’t seen Barry’s Bootcamp. Let me know if you like it. You are my enabler. LOL DD is doing okay. The great news is the ENT doctor said her ears are clear without infection even though her ears are hurting her. The auxillary nerve branches off from 3 areas, both of the ears and teeth, and then the signal travels to the brain. The brain is not registering it is her teeth that are the problem. She has 4 coming in on the top all at the same time. I’ll be glad when they all come in because she has been so grumpy for weeks now.

thurs-3-4 mile run/walk (on treadmill)
friday-jari love's slim and lean
saturday- kimberly cardio bootcamp (70 mins incl. leg conditioning drills)

i will try to remember to say happy birthday again :D . my dh's bday is the 8th and mil's is the 12th. my best friend's is the 1st. so many sept. bday's.
annamarie will get better soon. teething sucks. jaden has 3 more teeth coming in at the same time. he already has 8. everyone is doing great!

Kristi- that is a good explanation on the teeth. Gus has his top four coming in; sometimes I don't know whether it's teeth or ears giving him pain at night.

Sunny- how is CardioBootcamp? I ordered Progressive Strength and the Kimberly "ball" video yesterday; wondering if I should have ordered the bootcamp too.

My week was good:
M: StepBlast 1,2,3 plus Rythymic Step Challenge; then all upper body work from TimeSaver DVD
T: Mindy "spaz" Mylrea cardio toolbox sporty step; then Leaner Legs- my legs hurt until Friday, which leads me to-
W: 4 mile run- slow, sore, felt like legs were rubber
R: 1/2 mile swim with kickboard, 2 mile walk
F: Keli Roberts BootCamp- 30 minutes
S; rest
Sun: remaining 20 minutes of the bootcamp DVD

Hello Ladies! It is so hard to believe it is Thursday already. The week is slipping away from me. Let's see where did I leave off with my workouts. Tuesday I did ME and yesterday was KPC. Today my body is sore so I decided to make it a rest day instead of weight work, which I will probably do tomorrow or maybe I will do another Cardio Coach. I'll see what I feel like tomorrow.

Do you have big plans this Labor Day weekend? I plan to spend a majority of it going through the kids winter clothes and seeing what still fits and what they need. I also plan to go through mine too. Also, I will need to go birthday shopping for DD's 1st birthday. I'm not exactly sure what to get her. She doesn't need anything, except maybe pajamas. I think I might buy her a few books, some clothes, and then put some money in her piggy bank. How boring is that!! I would buy her some toys but the funny thing is DD won't even play with her own toys, she plays with DB tools and matchbox cars instead.

Sunny D - I like your rotation. ;) ;) Great minds think alike! Wow, you do have a lot of birthdays in September.

Kristan - Good luck tomorrow with Gus's surgery. Your workouts look great!
