Hi,
I was wondering if any of you ever used this step aerobics video called Fit For 2? It's supposedly an advanced step aerobics for pregnant women. If you have one, how was it? Is it worth the money?

Thanks!

I found a copy on eBay for $10. I haven't done it yet. I think it'll be good though. I waiting until I can nolonger do Cathe's videos or until her new DVD's are released--whatever comes first. Another prego on this forum has done her video throughout the pregnancy & has really liked it, that is why I purchased the video. ;)

I bought this tape off half.com. It is the only pregnancy video I like. I don't use it often though because aerobic section is too short, slightly over 20 minutes. It is an upbeat tape and it does hold my interest. The tape has a brief leg workout using the step for balance which I really like. It also has an ab/keegel section kneeling on all fours which I use. I wouldn't pay $20 for it but if you can find used it is worth the money. I also bought stepping through pregnancy and was disappointed in it. I am now close to my due date and have mostly used firms, cathe's wedding tape, Gay Gasper's step and strike which has modifications for pregnancy and Gay Gasper's greatest step. If you can get either of the Gay Gasper tapes or wedding video used I recommend these as well. Hope this helps.

I only have Kathy Smith's Pregnancy video and Denise Austin which I am trying to get rid of. That woman just has no imagination. Kathy Smith is real good. I haven't bought any new pregnancy tapes because they're somewhat boring. Would you rank Fit For 2 close to Cathe? According to them, it's supposed to be for advanced steppers like us. I still do Cathe's tapes when I feel ok especially the Gauntlet. I just don't do the thrusters. The wedding video...Which of Cathe's older videos would you say is close to the wedding video?

Thanks!

Is there alot to modify with Cathe's wedding video once you get further along in your pregnancy? I was just thinking about purchasing it after I read your post and was hoping for a little more info. It seems like a good one because you get two workouts on one video, just like her DVD's. More for your money. I'm also going to look up Gay Gasper's workouts. Is she a really good instructor? I get so spoiled with Cathe, it is hard to compete!! ;-) Thanks shopaholic!

I had this one last pregnancy and gave it away. I did not like it because in the last 3 months I tend to lose my balance a lot and this one made me lose my balance. I do have stepping through pregnancy I bought from collage. I really like it. The aerobics is only 20 minutes but once I get past 25 or 26 weeks that is all I can handle. I'm a wimp I know but at least its better than nothing!!

Marci, I appreciate your honesty!!!! Very Much!! I have been feeling especially whimpy this last week, especially where cardio is concerned. I've never been a great cardio person, but when I'm pregnant.....I feel like I can't even get to the top of the stairs without panting.....nevermind Cathe cardio. I'm really getting interested in her wedding video though. Thanks for all the reviews.

I found fit for 2 much easier than cathe. Doing the wedding tape the only modification I did was making each move low impact. I found wedding workout a good workout but easy to modify. I should tell you though , that my balance was never affected. I definely recommend the gay tapes, I was able to do with minmal modification. Check out collagevideo.com to see previews of these, just look up Gay Gasper

Briee,
I hesitated to admit how wimpy I am these days on workouts because it seems like everyone here is doing so much activity. I had to give up weights a few weeks ago at the advice of my Dr. because of back pain. My cardio is only about 20-25 minutes 3 days a week now and thats pretty much it!! Its depressing but I'm got only 11 more weeks until my induction then I have my whole life to workout as intense as I want. I realize that with 3 small kids to care for and being so tired I'm gonna listen to my body this time. I know you have even more kids than me but yours are a little older I think.

Anyway, I admit I'm sorry you are feeling tired but it made me smile to read you are feeling kinda wimpy now too about workouts. Thanks for admitting that too :) We are both within days of each other in terms of how far along we are. Tommorow is 27 weeks for me yeah!!!! Officially third trimester and counting down. Lets make a deal to do the best we can and NOT feel guilty or wimpy. How does that sound??

Marci

PS, the wedding video is a great postpartum one because its one of her easier ones intensity and less complicated. Great to do when you are trying to get back in shape and are sleep deprived from the new little one and can't handle complicated moves. Plus its a bargain with 2 workouts in one (full step workout and full weight workout)

I'm gonna be pulling this one out in January!!

Thanks for all of the replies guys! I think that I will order the wedding video and the one of Gay Gasper with kickboxing and stepping (the one that features a pregnant woman)!
Girls - never feel guilty for taking it down a notch! It is so smart to listen to your body! Even if you are just walking, you are doing the best thing for you and your baby!! Keep up the awesome work!!

Sara :)
