FIT, 40 AND FABULOUS 19th Jan

Hi all,

Wow, reading some of the work and workouts everyone is doing is making me feel like a couch potato. You peple put me to shame. I am still doing the 1RM's, making progress. I am lifting more than I expected but then again, it has been some time since I did any 1RM's. I wish I could say that at least I have been avoiding snacks but that would be a lie. There is leftover cake from an event we had Sunday and I keep picking at it. I brought some to work to get it out of the house (and into my co-workers) but now that means it is here too for me to pick at. I have to plan that better next time. Last time I gave everyone wrapped pieces. This time I just brought it in. See what happens when you change things!

Hi everyone

Just a quick Friday post to wish everyone a good weekend (and Murphy don't be so hard on yourself!!).

A quick check-in...

Hi, everybody! I've been trying to catch up this week -- work is just so busy, so once again we're living out of laundry baskets!

I did Cardio Fusion this morning and Art of Strength Newport yesterday (for the first time). I'm a little sore today -- those kettlebell workouts are really work.

Regarding the reps for STS: I did one -- yes, one! -- of those months ago and then didn't bother doing anything else. I haven't taken the time to figure it out and probably won't bother until I'm actually ready to do STS. I think it's a bit of a waste to do them months in advance, because who knows what your abilities will be by the time you do the workout?

I keep reading posts about the Chalean (or whatever it's called) program... I have her Turbo Jam and was never able to get into it. People seem to like the new program but I'm hesitant to buy another workout system with STS on the horizon (for better or worse), and Enter The Kettlebell staring me in the face. I've got to pick something and focus!

Focus ... not my best subject. Well, I guess I'd better focus on the bills because they've been piling up for waaaay too long! Have a great weekend, everybody. And if you're a fan of Chalean, I'd be interested to hear more about it.

Bye!

Happy Friday All,

Today was abs with my 'ole buddy, My Fitness Coach. i am eating okay today so far so lets hope that continues. Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi girls.

Lisa - Ripped 1000 is a great workout. All her workouts are good, just shes "dull" jari - get some spunk!!

kathryn, this ChaLean is my first ever Beach Body workout. I thought it would be very "commercial" and gimmicky. Its not ALL. I am very surprised. What she pushes throughout each workout, is YOU! She also pushes "Muscle burns Fat". If you like Cathe (which we all do) I couldn't imagine any one not liking CharLean. Shes very spunky, bouncy and funny. IMO. I like her and will now, try her cardio workouts.

BUT, I don't see the point in anyone racing out to buy CharLean if they are STSing. I'm not STSing, so I chose this workout over STS. Give STS a whirl first, and its going to take some time, before anyone (realistically) sees any AMAZING results from either of the two workouts. If any person dares to jump on the forums and screams "STS is amazing, miracle, i've lost 5lbs, my body has changed shape, my bis are more defined etc.. blah. blah.." and its been released a week ago, I'll .................... .................... i don't know what I'll do, but I wouldn't be able to shut up about the ridiculousness of the comment. Sorry, i'm on my soap box. jumping down now.

Friday evening

Well I'm done with all my antibiotics and although I feel weak I need to get back on the wagon and start working out again.

I hope all are doing well!

Quick fly by post tonight but just wanted everyone to know I'm back and slowly feeling healthy again :)
