First time mom trying to set up her babe's room...

There is just SOOO much stuff to find a "home" for...I can't even tell you! Oh my Lord, I don't know where I'm gonna fit it all! I am sooo glad that I decided to start workin' on this now as opposed to waiting!

Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it!

Try not to overdue it. ;-) I remember how busy I was - it is fun though. Did your DH get all the furniture assembled?

Have you started maternity leave yet?
 
ohhhhhh, this is the fun part. it's amazing how much stuff this little person will need/use. i'm sure the baby's room will look great once you are finish.

I did "catch" myself having fun yesterday while I was going through his things...mostly oohing and aahhhing at the tiny little clothes and stuff! lol It's a lot of work though. Definately not for the faint of heart! lol

We have not assembled the portacrib yet which is what the baby will sleep in downstairs initially...I will have him do that soon. He also needs to put together a cart that I will be using as temporary storage for some clothes, diapers, etc while he is downstairs in our room to minimize walking the stairs since he won't even be sleeping up there for a while. The main furniture for his bedroom is all set up but we need to buy a mattress for his crib yet and assemble the hamper for his room.

I start my maternity leave in May. My last day of work is Friday May 6...2 weeks left...

Thanks! :) We recently put up the wallpaper border that matches the bedding set we have. It looks absolutely adorable! I love it! While I was up there yesterday I also did a little decorating...I arranged some small stuffed animals on the dresser, along with a baby bank, and some other decorative things I had....

I received a frame as a gift that you put the baby's foot/hand prints in with a picture. It's really cute. I can't wait to do that and hang it up! Ooh---I guess I should pack that in my bag that way if the hospital will do it for me I'll have it!

We set up the baby's room this weekend! It was a lot of work but fun. We had to find new homes for a bunch of stuff and some stuff is now just sitting in the living room waiting for new homes. We gave a bunch of stuff we didn't need to good will and that helped clear up some space.

I can't believe that in about a week or so the baby will be here!

This week is my last one at work so I hope she doesn't come early! I would hate to go into labor at work.

I'm so excited for you!

Boy, you are working even closer to your due date than I am! I am outta here in 2 weeks and will have 2 weeks to go until my due date at that point. I too am nervous that I will go into labor early and end up being here at work. I really don't want that either.

I can't have my DH help me organize the things for the baby or anything coz he's no good at it and would end up annoying me. lol He's good for putting things together or rearranging furniture though.

I'm gonna go back up there after work tonight to get the clothes I left out for washing...I figure I will do some of that tonight. That doesn't take nearly as much brain-power as sorting and organizing would! lol :p

Setting up the baby's room is so much fun! It is amazing how much stuff you need. This weekend I was looking at all the baby stuff I stored in my inlaws shed for this baby. Between the stroller, infant carseat, pack'n'play, swing, exersaucer, etc. I was overwhelmed with how much we used these things with DS. I was ready to bring back all the baby stuff we have stored, but then I looked at it all and thought, I can at least wait until I find out what this baby is.

Have lots of fun! I hope your next 2 weeks go by quickly.
 
Hi Kristi.

I'm washing the baby's clothes right now...doing the stuff I have for newborn to 3 months. Will wash the rest as he is growing into it. Once his clothes are washed then I will go back upstairs and attempt to tackle the other piles of goodness only know what that are up there!:p lol One thing at a time and maybe I won't get too frustrated!:eek: ;( :p x( ;-) }( :+

Well, it's about work out time for this mamma 2 b!
