first DR appt today!

I am soo nervous about my appt today. I found out a week ago i was pregnant by taking a at home test. I was going to wait to make a dr appt until the begining of may just to make sure that i didnt get any bleeding before hand. I broke down yesterday and made a appt for today. I miscarried back in january and had a terrible expierience and worry that this may happen again. My feeling is now if its not going to go i want to know now before getting too excited. I thought i would share my nervousness because everyone seems really supportive here. please send prayer my way today

It can be difficult to manage all the worries and anxieties even without having a prior miscarriage - I'm sure it's even worse for you... It's really great that you got an appt. so quickly! I just moved to a new area and found out I was preg - they wouldn't see me until 12 weeks (and I called about 6-7 different offices, too!) They can do some early testing that hopefully will give you some comfort or answers.

My doctors appt went really well, a lot better than the last expierience i had in an ob office. I had bloodwork done, and have to call thursday for the results. I am still nervous and anxious about the whole thing. I think i will feel better about it all when i hear the heartbeat and get to see the baby.
