Finally Friday!!!

I actually took a rest day yesterday. And ate a whoppin' slice of homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream!:p

This AM I work at Isabel's preschool and in the afternoon I go to Gina's school for a "Fun Run", basically an hour-long walk around the school. So I think that will be my WO today, unless I feel like doing more after they go to bed tonight.

Stephanie & Mikkia, We are still waiting to hear from you ladies!!!

Just read the rest of y'day's posts....

Stephanie, So glad to see you!! You had us all excited that the baby might have came!:D Glad all is well....

JenM, Enjoy your u's today! Post a pic if you can! (says the lady who is waaaaay overdue to post pics of her own!:p)

Better go start my day........

Hi all. sorry I haven't been around, but it has been a zoo. We have had a house full of evacuees from hurricane Ike, most of which will not be leaving anytime soon. sister who is pregnant and her kids are here, and their home is badly damaged. Parents are here, there home is okay, but no power, predictions are another 2 weeks. I have been working at a couple of the shelters, because I am a nurse, I can help with medical stuff too. Needless to say, we are all very tired and ready for normalcy.
As far as little one goes, we believe we have a boy! The US was a disappointment, as little guy had his head in one pelvic bone and butt in the other, and did not budge for the whole 40 min, despite the amount of candy the tech made me eat. So, diagnostically they did not get alot of shots they wanted so they will do it again in 2 weeks. The tech seemed reasonably sure about the boy part, my husband and I were a little less. We will see. I will try and check in again soon.
Hi everyone and hope everyone is okay! I hope those of you that are trying are having luck, and those who are are at least comfortable!

Good morning ladies,

I wanted to see if I can start to check in with you. We just started to TTC Baby #2 and I have an almost 21 month old little girl named Heidi. I am originally from Germany, met my DH over there and he decided to bring me to the states. I have been working out with Cathe for about 5-6 years now.

Last time it took us a month to conceive, so we'll see how long it will take this time. :)

Looking forward to get to know you.

Kristine

Wow Mikkia! What an inspiration you are for all of us. :)

I worked just 9-530 yesterday (and today) which is a real chang from my typical 14 hour day.... It felt like a breeze! I worked out when I got home AFTER work!...but then my body got super sore. Do you ever feel like your body is ALWAYS sore from working out? And everything is starting to crack and make noises. I feel so old! I know I should do some stretching or pilates or something...but they are all so boring & I don't feel like I'm burning calories when I do these.

Today we're going to order out Mexican food at work. I try to be really good through out the day with eating clean. I find once I START to eat treats or sugary things that it's really hard to stop...so I need to say no the first time around. ;)

Jen, the Jenny Lind crib I had was about 15 years ago now. It was available at Shopko, KMart, JCPenney, pretty much everywhere. It was sturdy (and mine was used). I was able to pass it on when we were done. I hope you come to peace soon, it can be so frustrating. On a smaller scale, I've made four exchanges in the mail for a pair of shoes. We have no shopping up here, so everything needs to be purchased via online. It's difficult when you can't try things on....but with free exchanges and free shipping (+20% off) it's hard sometimes to turn deals down. :)

Hey ladies. what an awful night. argh. WELL in the evening just before it got dark my power went out. I know NOTHING about how to fix it. My dh burried the breaker thing in the garage behind loaded tuff boxes too heavy to move. I ended up staying with my friend who is also my neighbor in their guest room. (cause my kids would be scared at night.. and we'll me too probably!) So the dumb electric company was NO help at all. They rambled on and on about the hurricane. I am NO WHERE NEAR the hurricane. the weather is gorgeous outside. I was the only one affected all my neighbors electric was on. They wouldn't listen to me and basically said they had NO idea when it'd be fixed and couldn't tell me anything else either. So this morning I had a friend from church come over and he fixed it in about 4 minutes. doh! It was the outside electric box he had to flip back and forth. that easy. argh! It stinks when your DH is gone! ugh. but atleast it seems the food is still good in the fridge/freezer. I also had a serious headache last night again. My neighbor keeps her house to stinking HOT! I was dying. My dh keeps it cool at night and boy am I glad now. ha. we can tuff out the day time with warmer temps but not at night. I have to have it atleast 76 or so. it must have been 80-81 in her house. so I'm in a friends home with a migrane and my homes power is out. I don't think I slept for even 5 minutes last night. To top it off I'm sick with a cold. My nose is running and I'm coughing. sigh!!! sorry to whine. I'm actually happy to be home with the power on now.. so relieved! and since our power was out this morning I grabbed mcdonalds for breakfast. ugh!! greasy biscuit.

Mikki -thats great your helping out evacuees. I tried to get my brother and his fam up here from Houston but they wanted to stay home cause of looters. My neighbor/friend I stayed with last night just had her sister and fam here from houston but they've gone back home now.

Hi ladies,
Kate--Sounds like you have a fun day planned! Enjoy your day at school!

Mikkia--Sorry your family has suffered so much from the storm. I cannot believe the pictures out of Galveston. They are horrible. I hope that your family's homes soon are fixed, but in the meantime, they sure are lucky to have you! Don't spread yourself to thin. Take care of yourself and that little baby!! Will they do another US before baby is born? I know you're really wanting to know the gender!

Kristine--Welcome and good luck!! One month sounds like a promising history when it comes to conceiving. Maybe this time will be just as lucky!!

Melanie--Maybe you should take a couple of rest days. Your body may just be getting tired from all of the working out. Of course, my body would be shocked if I even attempted to do Denise Austin. UGH! Enjoy your Mexican food today!

Calvillo--I am sorry you've had such a rotten couple of days! I hope your power is back on soon, and that you feel better soon!!

Well, I had some painful contractions last night and this a.m., but they've eased, so I'm going to run a couple of errands. I'm so nauseated from eating a bunch of candycorn this morning. It's a terrible craving to have. DH bought me some last night because we really thought I might go into labor, and it was a special treat . Ugh. Big mistake. Unlike Mikkia's little one, my little guy totally showed off for the camera yesterday when doc did an ultrasound to check my fluid levels. She said, he DEFINITELY still is a boy. LOL. Well, better get busy. I'm so glad to be back!! Missed you guys!

Welcome Kristin!

I dont have much time everyone but i'll catch up later
My DH worked late so didnt make it to the appointment this morning. So at the utrasound she asked if i want to know the sex and i said i do, my husband doesnt, but he's not here so yea i wanna know!

the baby wasnt cooperating and kept blocking its private parts and she also has to redo the heart next month since she could only view it from the back instead of the chest

before she finished she said, ok lets try one last time. and the baby revealed itself!

Im having....a...................

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so excited. I called my mom right away, then stopped by my dads work. I said nooen can tell my husband. it was weird, having everyone know but him

so he called at noon when he woke up and i said i couldnt help it, i found out and he wanted to know! So i said are you sure?? He said yes. I told him guess! He said...its a boy. I said..its a girl!!!! He was so overjoyed, i guess he was hoping fo a little girl. We both thought it was a boy in there. So much for intuition huh?

Anyway, now i have to return my nuetral bedding and redo almost my whole registry haha. Im so glad i found out and i'm so glad he agreed to know too.

i just wanted to share with you all.

be back later ..

Stephanie you are soooo close! That stinks about your computer.. glad it's all fixed up now!

Kate~okay that is so not fair to mention apple pie and ice cream. Might have to get a Mrs. Smith's. LOL

Mikkia~wow it sounds like you are busy! Bless you for helping everyone like that! Congrats on your "almost pretty sure boy parts.. LOL)

Welcome Kristine!! Good luck w/ ttc and I hope it's as easy as the first.

Calvillo~yikes.. ((hugs))

Jen~congrats on your girl!!!

Melanie~mexican sounds SOOOO good right now. yummo! This place in VA we went to made the best homemade salsa.. what I would give for that right now!

Well I had some drama yesterday at my appt. I have been dizzy/nauseas for a few days now, but when I lay down it goes away so I figured it was just pregnnacy stuff. Well at my appt. my bp was 75/47.. the nurse said that was too low and took me to L&D to be monitered and to get 2 liters of fluids. I also drank 30oz of water along w/ the fluids they were giving me and it still didn't bring the bp up. She thought i was dehydrated, but I tried to tell her I drink ALOT! Anway the bloodwork came back totally normal, and after 2 hours of monitering the baby they said she was very reactive and looking totally fine so they sent me home. I am still dizzy today and ick feeling so I am taking the weekend of from any working out. I am not sure what is going on, but I just want to feel normal. ugh Also I am now having the baby on the 13th or 15th because DH is leaving on the 18th or 19th for a 2 week class. His mom is coming and then my mom is coming and then he will be home and have 2 weeks off so it looks like I will have 4 weeks of help! Hard to believe she will be here in 23 or so days and she still does'nt have a name. Darn DH.. LOL

Jen--Yey on the girl!! You must have pink on your mind now!! :) Thought of any names?

Trish--That's very very very low bp. I'm surprised they let you go home. I wonder what the problem is? I hope that you call them if you get really dizzy again. And keep us posted!! LOL about the name. It's hard when it's not your first to keep thinking of names!
--------
Well, I don't know what to do with myself. DH took both boys to Oliver's soccer practice. I thought that Henry would stay home with me, but he wanted to go too, so my sweet DH took both of them. Guess I should be productive. I've been a slug all day. Does anyone else feel yucky after doc's appointments? I guess it was all of the excitement from yesterday and the "examination" that had me crampy and icky feeling. (My cervix is tilted, so she had to dig to get to it. Yuck, huh? TMI?) Anyway...
Hope everyone has a very lovely Friday evening!!!

So much to catch up on!!!!!!

Mikkia, Busy lady! Congrats on your boy!!! We'll be anxious to hear for sure in 2 more weeks! He must've been deep in slumber!

JenM, I am so excited for you that you know! Congrats on your girl!!! We can feel your excitement! I'm glad DH came around to your way of thinking!

Trish, Rest up and take care of yourself!

Stephanie, Same goes for you! I do remember feeling really gross after cervical checks. Blech..

Kristin, Glad to have you join us! Good luck with your TTC!

Calvillo, I'd be roasting at 76 at night! We keep our air at 72/73 at night!

Melanie, mmmmmmmmmmmmmMexican! I feel the same way - easier to say no than to try to portion-control. (hence the large piece of apple pie I had last night! I want more right now!!!!)

OKay, I think I got everone who checked in today.... I hope!

------------
BUSY DAY here. I've been so busy and am contracting like crazy now. (no labor, just braxton) The 1-hour walk in the sun/heat at Gina's school did me in. No working out tongiht.:(

Hope everyone hasa good night!

Kate - yeah I prefer 75 but Dh is kinda worried about the electric bill. We have two fans on us at night too though. the ceiling fan and a big rotating one. I am high needs I guess. At her house I wasn't comfortable at all being warm and no fan on me ha. Atleast I brought my body pillow and contoured pillow and eye mask. Yes I need those too. I also prefer it really dark and it was a bit bright. I also need an ice water next to my bed. It has to be filtered. they use sink water and I can't hardly stand the taste so I was dry all night. I have issues lol. I have a hard time sleeping even under the best circumstances. sigh.

Cavillo~I thought I had sleep issues.. LOL we keep it cold here too and use a fan for background noise. I wake very easily so w/out the fan I hear everything. I also keep some sweet tea by my bed because every time I wake to pee I need a drink. Got the body pillow too.. been having issues sleeping. It's midnight and I am awake.. I wanted to go to a few yard sales tomorrow that are close.. hope I wake up.
