Finally, a Vacation!!

Hi All:

Just wanted to share my excitement! DH and I are finally taking some serious time off (we never had a honeymoon or anything) and I cannot WAIT. We are going here for a few days:

And then driving up the coast of Maine for another week or so, just seeing where the road takes us. DH can really use the break from work. I'm sooo excited!

Has anyone ever been to Isle au Haut?

I haven't been to Isle au Haut, but did spend a long weekend in Bar Harbour, which is fairly close by. Acadia National Park is absolutely beautiful this time of year and the hiking is great. Whale watching tours are popular, too if you're into that sort of thing. I am and we had a fun, though cold, time. I was not so impressed with the group lobster bake thing. I'd rather have my lobster in a more intimate setting.

Hi All!

We are going in October; I booked everything today. I know some friends think we are crazy to head to Maine in October but I love that cold, crisp weather for hiking and siteseeing. I'd love to do a whale watch!!
