Hi all- I am a teacher in an elementary school. Recently, several cases of fifths have been diagnosed. My OB had me leave the day I found out and come in for a blood test to see if I had ever had it before. While waiting for the results, my OB has told me not to go back to work. Normally this would not be a big deal but there are two other women expecting and their drs. said it was fine for them to return (and actually not miss any time at all).
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this? I am going to do what my dr. tells me but am just getting flak from some people that I work with about the situation.
