Feeling Down B/C Moving SO SLOWLY at 35 Weeks

Hello All,
I am 35 weeks along and last week I noticed a dramatic shift down in terms of my energy level and capacity to exercise. Up until now, I have managed to work out nearly every day. My routine has consisted of light cardio every day for an hour, plus and additional hour of weight training 2-3 days per week. Suddenly I feel truly exhausted and so huge that I can barely move. I have gained @ 22-23 lbs so far (pre pregnancey weight was 103 at 5' tall - I am around 124-125 now). Is this normal? I am disappointed b/c I have done so well with my fitness and I have managed to keep the weight gain reasonably in control. Now I am very hungry and very slow - and I feel that all my hard work is going to be defeated in the last month of the pregnancy! Did anyone else have this experience?
Thank you.

Oh MB, don't be so hard on yourself. Remember, it takes a lot work to create a human being from scratch and all those materials and energy is coming from you! I am 34 weeks and I hit the wall too. I am VERY tired and need to nap and my energy level is much lower. Also, you said you gained 22-23 pounds so far, so you are basically walking around with a 20 pound dumbell on your shoulders all day long! No wonder you're tired! :) One month is not going to ruin your progress. Listen to your body, if you push it too hard at this point, you could trigger pre-labor, and you don't want to go there. Keep up your workouts, but you may have to cut them back in duration now. Your body will be doing great during labor because you have kept yourself going your entire pregnancy. Listen to your body. Right now your priority is that little person inside and you will get that body back when it is time.

Hi,
I probably a similar build as you. Before my first, I was 108. I am slightly under 5 feet. At week 37 I was 135 pounds. At week 38 I lost 2 pounds, and gave birth that week I was 101 before getting pregnant with my second. I quickly gained weight and was up 20 pounds by week 25. The day I gave bith I was 123. In other words, you may stop gaining weight before 40 weeks and even you don't you are still at a good weight and doing great even if you gain a pound a week, you are still at a low weight gain. I will add that being peite, you look very pregnant because there is nowhere to hide the weight. I looked huge despite a moderate gain. ps as you read my weight, you will notice I was thinner after #1 than before, so don't worry!
