Favorite Pregnancy Books

Hi Everyone -

I have never posted on the pregnancy board (because I am not pregnant - yet) but DH and I will start trying to conceive in a few short months. I was wondering if y'all could give me some suggestions of your favorite books regarding pregnancy and infant care. I have "Mother of All Pregnancy Books" and like it so far, but I still don't have a clear idea of all the things I need to be thinking about. I am interested in general pregnancy and infant books, books about pregnant nutrition, and books about exercise during pregnancy. I like books that give a lot of information, not just a general breeze through a topic.

So does anyone have some suggestions or favorites they would like to share?

I can't wait until I can officially start posting here all the time!!

Hi Diane,

I have The BabyCenter Essential Guide to Pregnancy and Birth and I absoulutely love it! It's a pretty thick book and it gives you information about your pregnancy week by week, about your Dr.'s visits, about what's happening to your body (like morning sickness etc.), it gives you information about nutrition, your emotions, your finances, if you travel, birth, breastfeeding, after birth etc.

It has so much information, it's incredible and it's detailed as well.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Kristine! I will have to check that one out.

I think I would like the week by week format, the book I am currently reading does not have this.
