Favorite "good health" book

As I've posted in another thread, I am trying to increasingly concentrate on my health goals rather than appearance goals. I know being physically fit gives you YOUR optimimum appearance. I was brought up with a mom very appearance focused and spent a good bit of my younger years that way. Now looking at 40 coming up , I want to be as healthy as possible (have alot of genetics going against me). So, I am trying to focus on being strong and healthy! Not worrying about all the little flaws that are increasing in quantity every year! ha ha

Anyway, it is 2 steps forward, one back for me , but I am still moving forward on these goals of changing my way of thinking.

Been reading a lot of great novels that were posted on the summer reading thread (are we still doing "The Kite Runner in Sept?) and would like to read some books to help me with these goals now. Any suggestions....Marnie

RE: Favorite

Hi Marnie!

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but I purchased You: The Owners Manual by Roizen and someone I can't remember his name, and Superfoods Rx. I don't have either book right here, so I can get the author info for you if you need it. I haven't read either all the way through yet, but skimmed and picked out the parts I wanted to focus on. I bought these on Amazon.com.

I have high cholesterol (genetically), so I bought the Superfoods book with hopes of lowering my cholesterol without meds. I have added in several foods and have noticed that I have more energy.
