Hi Ladies,

Hope you all had a great weekend. Well my Denver Broncos sucked yesterday, what a downer.

On the up side, I did a superbowl fun run 5k in 9 degrees and then did disc 31 C&B. I only have 3 more discs left to go to finish up this STS rotation.

We are in for some negative degree temps this week and more snow. I think another 3-5 inches on Tuesday. I'm sick of the cold. We need the snow, but I don't like the freezing temps.

How did you spend your weekend?
 
Diana, thanks for starting a new thread! :) Yesterday was M3D31, and I really increased some of my weights from the last go around. There were a few reps at the end I didn't think I'd get through, so I know I was at my 90%. I just rec'd Amy Bento's Hi Low Knockout, and tried a few sections yesterday, with many rewinds. This one will take a few (dozen) times to get down pat.

Diana, congrats on finishing your race in frigid temps! How did you ever tack on another workout after, you really are amazing! We were able to sqeeze in a 30 mile bike ride on Sunday. It was a balmy 35 degrees and it felt so good to be out. Our temps are back down in the teens and they're predicting 8-10" tomorrow. :mad:

Hi Ladies,

I decided to take today off work to tackle some stuff around the house and work on our taxes. The fact that the high is supposed to in the single digits and more snow made the decision to stay home an easy one.

I may do the last legs disc today and a BR workout too. The diet, well some days are better than others, but I really need to buckle down and get the weight loss going again. Hopefully I'll be down at my weigh in tomorrow.

Tina-I'm not sure I'd enjoy riding in 35 degrees. How were the roads? We have a lot of ice. I just did disc 31. I used 85# barbell for rounds 1/3, and 38's for rounds 2/4. I found some wrist/ankle weights I can use to help increase the weights a tad for next week. What will you be doing after STS? I'm considering doing either the Jan or Feb rotation, or even going back and doing one of the Xtrain rotations.

Good Morning. Yesterday was a giant snow storm, so I took advantage and did plyo legs w/ GG. Oddly, I'm not feeling any DOMS. :( My shoulders are sore from all the shoveling though. We have two more storms on the way, so I'm in a very grim mood. I'm not sure what I'll be doing for a workout this morning, something kickboxy to work out my frustrations. C'mon spring!

Diana, just...whoa, that's a ton of weight. I was using a 76# barbell and quickly went to 74#. For dumbells I was using 29's for chest and 34 for back, and that was really my max. I need a few more go-arounds with STS to get to your weight selection. :eek:

Hi Ladies,

I'm a happy girl, down 2.4#'s at my weigh in on Wednesday! Finally the scale is moving in the right direction. Now I just have to keep it up. I'm starting the 21 day cleanse on Sunday so hopefully that will help too. Some people were posting that they lost 5-10#'s in the first week, but that never happened for me. I'm shopping for week 1 on Saturday and preparing as much of the weeks meals as possible on Sunday. It makes grab and go so much easier.

So I only have the 2 UB discs for week 36 to finish STS! I will be doing those this weekend. I need to pick a rotation to follow until tri training starts. I do best when I have a plan to follow. I love the BR w/o's, but this is my 3rd time through the 30 days so I'd like to change it up a bit. Not because I'm bored or not challenged, just think my body may need something different.

Tina-you must have the best legs evah!!! I love working legs, my favorite body part to work and next would be shoulders! My shoulders have been sore from shoveling too. Temps are to be in the 40's through the weekend so most of snow should melt. Were you able to kickbox away your frustrations??? I hope so.

Today was PP with DH. Yesterday was M3D33 and I can REALLY feel my arms today. :) Thursday was a much needed kickbox workout (In The Ring).
DH wants to do plyo legs tomorrow, so I may finish STS before Friday. :eek:

Diana, congratulations on your big weight loss this week! My mom is hinting that she wants to start going to WW. The cancer pills they put her on have caused her to have a big weight gain. I want to join with her, but I don't know if it's in the budget. I'll have to see if they're offering a deal right now. I totally agree with having to have a rotation to follow. I'm thinking about doing a month long rotation of total body on Monday, cardio on Tuesday, heavy upper body (GS, XT, or STS) on Wednesday, legs or kickboxing on Thursday and the other heavy upper body on Friday. Good luck on your cleanse this week. Do you take supplements during the 21 days?

I should be finishing STS this week too! I should've done the last 2 discs this weekend, that was my plan. I did a BR cardio first and it totally wiped me out. There was no energy or strength left to do weights. Today will be SBT, and perhaps Tuesday will be C&B.

I'm starting the 21 day cleanse today. I purchased all the food for week 1 yesterday and today will be the prep day. I should be able to make the majority of the weeks food today. There are daily smoothies for breakfast that I will probably make each day. The plan basically consists of a morning tonic tea (ginger/lemon/water), a smoothie for breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. Most of the dinners are also the next days lunch which makes the prep much easier. I will not be giving up my 2 cups of black coffee/day. It's my understanding that coffee/caffeine alters the ph of the body, but it's not something I'm interested in giving up at this time.

Tina-WW has an online program that is cheaper than going to the weekly meetings. I do use their eTools (online tracking), but have always had more success when going to the weekly meetings. The meetings are valuable as you hear tips/tricks from other members. Good luck with whatever you decide. I'm wish my DH would work out with me, or at all would be good too.

What has happened to Sue and Candice???

Where is everyone? I'm struggling with talking myself into finishing the last C&B w/o of STS.

I started the 21 day cleanse on Sunday and that is going good so far. I was hungry on day 2 so ended up having rtd protein shake.

Hi Ladies. Sunday DH and I did plyo legs together, but I put in the wrong disc, so we did another round on Tuesday of the right numbered disc. D35 is much harder than D32. Monday was M3D34, and I can still feel my entire trunk! Today I woke up and decided to go easy on myself and did Bodyfit 360. I'll finish STS tomorrow. :)

Hi Diana, sorry I've been MIA. Another week of medical appointments. I feel like someone in the family has one once a day lately. My latest medical delemma is hair loss. My ANA came back funky, so I had a scalp biopsy on Monday to see if that shows signs of Lupus. The thoughts of having to start wearing a wig are freaking me out. Can you imagine working out with one of those contraptions? So while the last thing I want is Lupus, I do really want to get to the bottom of my shedding. I should have the labs back in two weeks. I hope you're able to talk yourself into finishing your last STS workout. Maybe try and do half in the morning and half later in the day? Just to say you finished another round. What round # is this for you. This will make #5 for me. What is an RTD protein shake?

Tina-oh no, I certainly hope it is not lupus. Hugs and prayers for a better diagnosis. I've been shedding a ton of hair for about the last five years. None of my test results yielded anything abnormal. I was told it could just be hormonal. Although my hair has thinned, its not as though I'm going bald. One of my girlfriends has alopecia (lack of hair), so she's bald and has been for many years. On top of that she is battling cancer, after being clean. She's so upbeat and said at least I don't need to shave my head while undergoing chemo, bless her heart. I believe this is round 5 for me too. RTD is just short for ready to drink. I try to keep some on hand at work for an afternoon snack when needed.

Yay...I finished STS today!!! My weight was down 1.7# at my weigh in yesterday. That's 2 weeks in a row for losses, I'll take it. That's unusual for me, but I'm not going to complain. I'm sure the cleanse has something to do with it.

YAY! Me too!! :) Congratulations on your continued weight loss, you're doing fantastic! I'm sorry to hear about your friend and her struggle with cancer. Whenever I start to feel sorry for myself, I think of how much worse my situation could be. I can't imagine going through chemo and how scary that would be. I hope your friend has a good prognosis and is finished with treatments soon. :(
 
Hi Ladies,

I just completed week 1 of the 3 week cleanse. Yesterday I purchased the food for week 2, $57.70 was my total food bill. :) Many of the leftover veggies from week 1 are used in week 2 so that helped a lot.

My plan for the next month is to work on the lower body and glutes, while trying to maintain the UB strength gained with STS. I'm not sure if that's possible but will be giving it a try.

Not being happy with the Lower Body rotations I found, I've create my own. I left some of the cardio days as undefined so I can pick something that suits my mood and timeframe for that particular day. The weight days and circuits are defined in the rotation. Hopefully this rotation will lift the backside.:p Seems to be a never ending battle for me.

Tina-did you get your test results back? Hope you have a diagnosis and plan of attack. Did they check your thyroid also? I am hypo-thyroid, this also causes hair loss. What have you decided to do for the next month?

Today was Ride, yesterday was PP and Friday was KPC. I'm not sure what this weeks workouts will be yet. I need to get a general idea quick, I hate not having a plan.

Diana, I won't have results for another week. I did have my thyroid and hormones checked and they were normal. Just the ANA came back funky, but that could be a false positive, I guess this can happen fairly often. I'm still working out concrete rotation for the next six weeks after this rest week. I'll share it with you when I'm finished. I can't imagine a grocery bill that low, mine is through the roof!

Ladies...Hello, where is everyone?????

I wrote my own lower body rotation and am doing that this month. I'm on day 12 of the cleanse and so far so good. My weight was up .4 at my weigh in which I was not happy about. Oh well, I am nourishing my body.

Hi ladies! I am on week 2 of meso 3 so I'm super far behind you, congrats to you both on finishing :). I have been working out only 2-3 times per week and DOMS have been ugly. I have been eating whatever I want and not gaining weight so I'm happy about that. I can't seem to motivate myself to eat less and move more.

Tina I am praying for good test results for you, I hope you find out what's going on and it's not a serious issue.

Diana congrats on your weight loss, this weeks weigh in is just a blip :). I hope things are looking up for you at work.
 
Good morning Ladies. Today was FT and SC. I did mostly circuit/cardio workouts this week. I'm planning on doing XT for the next two weeks and then I'm going to work out a STS/GS rotation.

Sue, it's so good to have you back. I missed you! You're so close to finishing another STS round, what number will this be for you? Thanks for thinking of me, I'll be getting results on Tuesday. I'll let you know if I'm going to become Bruce Willis' doppleganger.

Diana, I'm sure your next weigh in will show great results. I don't know how you can keep so motivated on your cleanse. I'd be going bananas by now.

Hi Ladies,

I wrote my own lower body rotation and have been doing that. Yesterday was an unplanned rest day. I don't schedule rest days, but really do not like them to fall on a weekend. Those are the days I have more time to workout.

I purchased the food for the last week of the cleanse yesterday. After my workout today I will be preparing several of the meals and snacks for the week. I did fall of the wagon a bit yesterday and had a brownie...for my sons 18th birthday.

Tina-definitely praying for good test results for you. The cleanse is real foods so it's not hard to follow. They provide the recipes and meals plans, it's really pretty easy. If you get hungry, then you need to eat more of the snacks or healthy meals, fruit etc. The only thing I really want is chicken. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, looking forward to adding meat back in.

Sue-so glad you popped in! Sometimes life gets in the way of our workouts. Are you still doing c25k between your STS w/o's? Perhaps a new rotation would be more motivating for you.

Hi ladies :). I finished m3w2 yesterday and today was a c25k. I think I'm getting back into the swing of things.

Tina I missed you guys too :). I'm on my 3rd round of STS. Be sure to let us know your results tomorrow - GOOD LUCK!!!!

Diana are you calculating your ww points while on your cleanse? I'm still doing c25k but I haven't been doing to 3x per week like I should. I'll step it up now that my race is a month out. Not sure what I'll do after I finish meso 3, I've been eyeing the nia shanks beautiful badass program but I'm Not sure if I want to go without following along to video.

Tina-awaiting to hear your diagnosis. Hopefully you have concise diagnosis and plan of attack! We are here for you no matter what the results.

Sue-great job completing m3w2. Only 2 weeks to go! You can do it. If you alternate STS and C25k you will get in 6 w/o's per week!:) Of course you need to do what works best for you and your schedule. I need a plan to follow. Oh, I am not tracking points on the cleanse. It's simply too time consuming. They don't provide the macronutrients so I have to look it all up and it was just too time consuming.

gotta run, working on my taxes...again....
