Fat-causing virus?

From Microbe Nov 2007 - The News Magazine of the American Society for Microbiology:

In tissue cultures, the human adenovirus-35 can transform adult stem cells from obese patients into fat cells. A gene of this virus appears to be involved in fat accumulation, based on studies of infected animals.

There! I have a fat virus!
 
Shannon, the findings were presented at the American Chemical Society meeting in Boston in August by researchers from the Louisiana State University.
