extended warranty on vehicles???

We purchased an extended warranty on our new truck when it was bought and we are trading it in now. There is still 2 years or 35,000 miles left on that extended warranty. Since we paid extra for that should we get some kind of a refund when we trade it it?

Kim,
This question is right up my alley. Before I decided to stay home with my kids I was the assistant Service Manager at a GM Dealership and I was the warranty specialist in the dealership. The dealership/manuf. will not give you a refund because your trading the vehicle in and still have time on the warranty. Warranty are nothing more than a elected insurance policy in case something might happen so more or less when you agree to buy it it is yours. I although can make two suggestions. One is when you trade your vehicle in try to get a higher trade in price which includes the ext-warr(FYI these warranties are transferable so this is a good re-sale point for the Dealership) second is before you trade it in call the ext warranty directly and see if you can cancel the warranty and get a pro-rated amount of money back. Hope this helps:)
