Experienced Cardio Coachers

Cathlete
Ok guys I received my Cardio Coaches. #1 revised, #3, both 6's Candace & Sean. I listened to them & I will not be using a HRM.

Let me see if I am understanding this right. Warm up: basically set your feet to the beat. Hills it says level 3 do I incline my treadmill to a 3% or what does it mean I have option 0-12%. How do you do your sprints? Should my feet be always following the beat? Some pointers here please. I am going to do 1 revised tomorrow. I know I can use these for my elliptical and recumbent bike as well but my elliptical does not have incline just resistance is that what I focus on as well as the recumbent bike or how do you modify? I have a feeling these last questions are probably stupid but I just want to make sure I use them right. Thanks again guys.

I don't use the beat as a gage in Cardio Coach.

The levels 1-4 are more of a perceived exertion. For example:

Level 1 - Warmup/cooldown/recover from an intense interval mode
Level 2 - Steady state cardio mode
Level 3 - Working hard, more intense, but not totally anaerobic mode
Level 4 - Going anaerobic

I do use my heart rate as a gage when I'm in level 3/4.

Once you do these a few times, you'll get used to where your incline and resistance settings should be for each level.

I use just resistance and speed for my recumbent bike, and it works just fine.

What Gayle said. Don't try to run with the beat - you'll only get frustrated (or trip!). ;) Everybody is different, and the great thing about Cardio Coach is that it works for any level - you go by how YOU feel. For one person, a Level 3 may be 5.5 mph or a 4% incline. For someone else, Level 3 may be 7.5 mph or 8% incline. You will have to play around the first few times you do the workouts to find the best settings for YOUR different levels. Once you do, be prepared for an awesome workout! :)

Oh yes no tripping going on would be nice. Thank you guys I understand and can't wait to get started.
