Exercise for partially handicapped

I am still recuperating from 3 surgeries due to a car accident. I'd like to get some exercise, but with two pinched rotator cuffs and a right knee that aren't normal yet, there isn't much I can do.
How about coming up with exercises for someone with these situations?
Physical therapy was a long time ago, so I am ready to do something more, but what?

Did your therapist give you some exercises and an exercise plan? They should be able to do this for you or at least give you an idea of what you should and shouldn't do.

Yes, I was given exercises, and have done them faithfully, but I still would like to do more.
The PT's exercises only help that which needs to heal, not the whole body.
I need to get my whole body moving!

First I would find out what you can or can't do and possibly share with your therapist(or doctor)what it is you're planning on doing or what you would like to do. I wonder if Cathe's new stuff for beginners/intermediates would be appropriate for you.
Have you considered just some interval workouts on a machine like an eliptcal trainer or climbing a hill(interval style)on a treadmill,or maybe some spinning stuff to kick off your Cardio training?
If you're able to lift weights, I would start doing that on my own as I think that Cathe's weight stuff may be too advanced(but of course your therapist should really be the one deciding here).
