exercise clothes

Hi! I've been looking around on the web for good maternity exercise clothes, and I've found several options. Basically, I'm trying to decide between fit maternity and mothers in motion. Mothers in motion is more expensive, but they claim their garments are super supportive. I run, so I could really use extra support in the tummy! And mothers in motion has Dr.Clapp's endorsement (?). Has anyone here tried their clothes? Are they worth it?

Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth. Fit Maternity actually carries a bunch of MIM stuff, although I don't think you get any discounts or anything by ordering through them (although they do offer free shipping for repeat customers). I never bought the MIM stuff because of the cost, but I did try some one at our local running store early in my pregnancy and it seemed like good stuff (the bras especially), although I don't know that the tummy panels would have made all that much difference (I personally wore a maternity support belt -- purchased through Fit Maternity -- for workouts as my belly got bigger and it was very comfortable and supportive). Maybe there's a local retailer that carries MIM that you could try before you buy? If not, I know that Fit Maternity is very good about returns.

I had the InSport maternity short and tights (available at www.fitmaternity.com) and loved them. If you need the extra support, I would get a maternity belt to wear under them and other clothing. Make sure you can try on the maternity belt before you buy it or if you purchase online, that you can return it if it doesn`t fit you properly - I had 2 belts, one that fit horribly and another that I bought at a rehab store where I was able to be properly fitted.
