Good morning ETLer's

Did well the last few days, but the weight is just creeping off. I guess slow is good!!

Yesterday
Half genisoy bar and coffee before workout
B: fruit smoothie
Snack: small piece of smoked fresh fish
L: big salad, banana
Snack: other half of bar
D: piece of smoked fish, bowl of Lentil soup with Chard and orzo, steamed broccoli and salad
Dessert: fruit smoothie
 
Hi ladies -

Yesterday:

B: steel cut oats with flaxseed and soy milk
L: veggie burger and side salad
S: clemetines and soy latte
D: shake and bake tofu, roasted maple carrots, sweet potato, peas, salad with pear

Today I am feeling a little queasy:

B: banana and whole grain waffles with natural pb and blackstrap molassas
S: bagel with cream cheese (queasy)
L: going out some where with friends so who knows
S: chocolate soy milk
D: vegetarian chili, tortilla chips and salad
 
HI Diane and Carole-

FYI-The weight went down slowly at first for me with ETL last spring.

I am getting very hungry mid to late day and eating baked chips or crackers. Perhaps I should eat more earlier. I do nt eat before working out except for coffee with nondairy creamer.

Yesterday:
B- fruit smoothie ( same recipe as yours Carole but only 1 Tbsp ground flax)
L- salad with greens, soy jalapeno cheese, black beans and salsa for dressing
S- apple
S- (while cooking) Baked Tostito chips , crackers
D- Caesar salad made ( dressing made w/ veggies cheese ) topped with lentils
S- handful of chocolate candies, coffee

My dad and stepmom bought the book the other day after I told them about it. My stepmom has been doing Weight Watchers for years and years, and my dad has been following it sorta because they eat the same stuff. The usually just eat very small portions at meals, and I always thought it was the lack of calories that was holding them back. My step mom lost 40 lbs on WW (a lot of a 4'11 woman) but has gained a little back and still is a bit overweight. So hopefully they will like ETL, though Dad didn't seem thrilled about giving up meat. He is trying to lose those last few pounds so ETL might be just what he needs.

Judy - I eat most of a banana before a workout because I get lightheaded if I don't eat anything. I have been trying to cut down on coffee and it has been sooooo hard! I know I can have a little bit of caffeine, but I am still trying to cut it out.
 
Diane- I hope your step mom and Dad are inspired by ETL. I did WW for a few years and really did well when I ate loads of veggies. But there are ways to manipulate the points system. In fact I used to look at every food in terms of points and not nutritional value.

I am trying to cut down on my afternoon cup of coffee too. But in the winter especially it can be cozy.
