Yesterday went well.

coffee and half a genisoy bar before workout
B: fruit smoothie
L: big salad with pintos and diced Quorn
Snack: genisoy bar
D: Portobello sandwiches, steamed brussell sprouts, small bowl of garlic soup w/tofu, salad
Dessert: fruit smoothie split with DH
I did snack on some pretzels when I got home from work...my worst time!!

Judy...this is the site for Quorn. http://www.quorn.us/ It is another alernative protein source and is vegetarian not vegan. It does contain egg whites but it is very tasty. You do with chocolate what I do with chips...just one more! I think the little bit of choc you eat is not a problem!

Diane...I too love my coffee. I normally just have 2 cups in the morning. Our weather has been good here just cold. As far as the dried veggies, just check the ingredients. They might not be too bad.
 
There are no ingredients on the dried veggies, they are just in little baggies, obviously homemade by someone at this little restaurant. I guess I can ask the restaurant owner if they know how they were made. But they definitely aren't fried, just dehydrated.

Today's menu:

B: Kashi Go Lean Crunch with flaxseed and blueberries
L: hopefully the veggie burger and side salad I wanted yesterday but the place was closed due to possible bad weather
D: big salad with egg white veggie omelette and zucchini.

ETA: Looks like they have Quorn at the Whole Food next to us, I have just never seen it. I am so sad because the Whole Foods very near us is moving locations so it will be more like 10 min away. It was just so nice to just drop by there for fresh ingredients during the week if needed.

I looked at the Quorn web page; it is sold at my local grocery store. I'm not sure it I'll try it yet.

Today-
B- fruit smoothie
L- veggie burger, raw veggies w/ honey mustard ~ OR~ hummus on ezekial bread and raw veggies
S- micro cooked apple with cinnamon
D- portbello caps that I my stuff with lentil piloff mix. , spinach salad w/ pine nuts

Judy - Your dinner sounds yummy. My DH loves portabello mushrooms, so I should try that. What is in the lentil piloff mix?
 
Today's Menu:
Breakfast: Kashi bluberry morning cereal with rice milk, Yerba Matt tea
Snack: Ezekial Pita Pocket with some almond butter , apple
Lunch: tomato chickpea curry with brocoli
Dinner: Ezekial Pita pocket stuffed with homemade guacamole and chickpeas

I am starting to slack on the veggies again. I love to get the Ezekial bread pita pockets because they are awesome for a quick meal but then I get lazy and end up eating like two of them a day.
