I have been experiencing knee pain for about a month. I can run on a TM for cardio without too much pain, but cannot step. However, DH wants to get an elliptical for home use. He found a True Elliptical (C25) priced at $2500+ on sale for $999. I know nothing about them, other than I believe it will be better for my knees because of impact.

Anyone have any insight? Use a True (sole)? Likes or dislikes?

They are holding for twenty four hours. I will try out tomorrow. Just looking for any input.

Thanks

GET IT! I am not kidding! I have knee pain and foot pain and both are not bothered at all from the eliptical. I love mine and have discovered IClimbs from the Itrain.com website. Alot of people talk about Cardio Coach and I was thinking about looking into that for those workouts. The eliptical makes me sweat like crazy and works my legs so good. Good luck!

Yes!! Get it....your knees will thank you. I have an Octane Q45E from Second Wind and love it. I held out for a long time before I got my elliptical. I didn't think I would get as good of a workout as my treadmill but I was wrong plus I no longer have issues with my hips. My favorite programmed workout is a random one where the machine automatically increases/decreases the resistance level from 1 to 10. It is an awesome workout.

True makes good equipment. I chose the Octane because the foot pads are closer together on this brand than other models so it really simulates my running form.

itsalife....wow!! Sounds like a good deal as I have read good stuff about the True brand. I would definitely try it out before you buy it. See if it is knee friendly, as I think it will be. I have a Nordic Track Space Saver Elliptical and LOVE it. I also use the workouts from iTrain.com. I love the iClimbs with Keith...:)

Another vote for the elliptical! I bought one in August and I absolutely love it. I strongly recommend that you try out several models before you buy one. Adding iClimbs and Cardio Coach to your regimen will add significantly to your cardio capacity and endurance!

Question: Am I the only person who has knee issues when using the elliptical? Really, my knees bother me the night and next day after an elliptical w/o. My DH loves it and I want to, but really I'm feeling the knees.

Melvin, my elliptical doesn't bother my knees at all. I have some information about that but I'm too tired tonight. i'll email you about it later, kay?:* :* :)
