echogenic bowel

I was told that I have 3 microscopic areas of echogenic bowel at my first ultrasound. Grade 2-2.5. All other findings were completely normal. I was sent to a neonatologist and he reproted the same finding. The baby appears perfectly noraml in regards to growth measurements, heart, open hands/fist visible, spine, skull, etc. I am not a carrier for cf. My afp was 1 in 3400 (negative). The cmv and toxoplasmosis tests were both negative. The next option is an amniocentesis. I would rather avoid this if possible... The online education varies widely from mortality to perfectly normal babies. Has anyone else had a simiiliar experience. I am terribly worried

I have never heard of this condition, so I do not have any advice.I just want to let you know that I am praying for you. I understand what it is like to have an "abnormal" ultrasound and the resulting worry and fear. Please hang in there and see if the doctors can give you more information. Also remember that doctors don't know everything and many times when it looks as if a baby has a problem, that baby turns out to be perfectly normal.
