On Cathe dvds....I purchased a few at a good price .... the cheapest one I bought for two dollars was scratched ... the other one was empty ... the two more expensive ones were fine. Right now I am trying to get a hold of the seller for a refund...even though it was only a few bucks ...still!!
Anyway, its the last time I will use Ebay.

RE: Ebay purchases .....yeah or nay? Whats your experei...

Ebay can be a great place to shop but for Cathe it's not recommended. There are lots of sellers out there ripping people off w/pirated Cathe stuff. I have both bought and sold many things on Ebay and have always been successful...you just have to be careful sometimes is all...don't let it shy you away from Ebay all together. Just think twice before using Ebay to purchase Cathe dvds.

HTH!:)

Try Amazon.com instead. When I bought the entire Hardcore series but knew I wouldn't use a few of them, I sold them on Amazon.

Now, don't be telling people not to buy Cathe from Ebay: I intend to sell some of my Cathe workouts that I don't use there, and I'm a good Ebay seller.

Unfortunately, there are always some bad apples at Ebay. It's important to check people's feedback.

Kazze, sounds like you got a really bad deal. Contact the seller (though I can't imagine they wouldn't know the DVD case was empty! Maybe they thought that $2 was a fair price for a scratched DVD?!) and let them know that you will contact Ebay if this isn't resolved.

I sold a Cathe video there myself and I am a good seller as well.

I was only warning her of the recent troubles with some of the Cathe sellers.

There are many folks on this board who have basically told people not to buy Cathe from Ebay so I do not know why you have decided to "scold" ME for it but I don't feel it was neccessary. There are tons of people who still purchase Cathe there. I'm sure I didn't ruin yours or anyone's chances of selling a Cathe tape with this one post.

Sorry you took that as scolding. I guess I should have added this : :p or maybe this: ;-) or this: :+ after my admonition not to tell people not to buy from Ebay. 'Tone of voice' doesn't translate well to the written word.

Thanks. I agree about the tone of voice. No hard feelings. :)

I'm one of those people who had a bad experience -- I bought 2 DVD's for nearly full price and both were burned copies. I'm not sure looking at feedback is enough, since I read here that some sellers only refund your money if you don't post bad feedback (which is what happened to me). I think the key is to look at the seller's name -- is that person selling 3+ copies of the same DVD all at the same time? If so, that person is probably burning copies.

I have had some problems with e-bay lately.
Alot of crooks out there. Some good.
Send it back with a delivery confirmation and file for a refund on pay pal.
It is the only sure way include shipping.
It takes about 2 weeks , but you will get it back.

I have bought about 6 of Cathe's DVDs from ebay. All have been good quality, not scratched and play very well. I always read their feedback before I buy anything. I guess I have been lucky although because I was a relatively new user, I have gotten a few warnings from other e-bay members about certain sellers being fraudulent. There are good people out there looking out for each other.

As a buyer...you should always-always-always pay for a transaction with a credit card. Use PayPal. Do not buy from seller's who will only take personal checks or money orders. If the deal goes bad, you have little recourse outside of hiring an attorney to find the person and it's not worth that expense, on most items.

As a buyer, always-always-always use PayPal to pay for your auction's. Then, if the deal goes bad you can get restitution through the Paypal complaint system.
