Eating & stress: a terrifying tale

I am having a really hard time with someone (long, long story that I'd never post on a public forum but suffice to say I've found my own personal kryptonite). I had been doing really well with clean eating the last couple of weeks. Really well. I had definitely slimmed down in the hip area, had loads of energy, felt great, etc. etc., ad nauseam.

Gentle readers, please note the past tense.

Let's tick today's damage off, shall we?

Cheeze doodles (and as a rule I hate anything that is spelled for morons)
French fries (with extra salt)
Ice cream (with caramel AND whipped cream)
Popcorn (buttered... the whole bag)

...and serious contemplation of a run to McDonald's for a Shamrock shake. Thank god my car needs gas.

Sheesh. Tomorrow I should do all of the IMAX's in a row!

It's okay Marie...everyone of us has probably been there at some point! Do a good work out (though there is no need to do ALL of the imaxes! LOL) and shake it off...start fresh today with a BIG glass of water! :)

Marie-
It happens to all of us. I find that it really helps a lot to talk about what's going on. Sometimes, the perfect people to "talk" to are those who don't know the problem people in your life. Several people on these forums were kind enough to allow me to send them private messages when I had issues that were perturbing me and it really helped. So, please feel free to send me an PM. Sometimes just taking the time to write about something gives you new perspective on it. I promise I won't be judgmental, or even give an opinion at all unless you specifically ask for one.

In any event, I wouldn't worry about a couple of days of bad eating. I'm sure you'll be back to your usual ways soon.

Best,
Nancy

Hmmm. I don't know if that beats the two Godiva chocolate bars & two glazed donuts I ate yesterday, but it sure comes close. ;-)

Seriously Marie, we're human, we have breaks in our willpower, & it's OK. You can't deprive yourself 24/7.

See, Marie, you're not alone! Many of us need a "cheat" now and then. It just can't be a frequent thing. :)
Have a great workout today - but please, only one IMAX at a time.

Ladies, thank you so much for your support. I am feeling much better today and hope to never experience a binge like that again. Ugh. It's been years since I did anything like that, but I was just riding the stress wagon...

Again, thanks.

Nancy, check your PM. :)
