I didn't think that there was going to be a diet to follow when I received my STS series yesterday and keep in mind that I only flicked through it....but I was surprised to see that there wasn't anything regarding clean eating....unless I missed something.

Anyway...I am planning on starting the program on Sun or Mon.We a upcoming trip to FL I would like to be in tiptop shape for a bikini:rolleyes:....what kind of eating program is everyone following? Any results yet? I know its only early but I know we all have to eat sensible or we aren't going to see any changes.

Lori:)

No...thats what I am saying. There isn't one, and I didn't expect there to be. I was wondering what everyone else was following.

I am using basic guidlines from P90X. Here is what is written in their nutrition Plan.

Phase I - A high protein-based diet designed to help you strenghten muscle while rapidly shedding fat from your body. I will use this plan during the Meso 1.

Phase II - A balance mix of carb and protein with a lower amount of fat to supply additional energy for performance. I will follow this during Meso 2.

Phase III - An althlethic diet of complex carbs, lean proteins, and lower fat with an emphasis on more carbohydrates. You'll need this combination of foods as fuels to get the most out of your final training block and truly get in the best shape of your life. I will use this pan during Meso 3.

This guidlines make sense to me but it is up to an individual to follow what is right for them.

Good point! I wish there were eating guidelines too...

I just finished Mesocycle #1, and I was kind of lost. I increased my protein intake, but that didn't really work , I was getting hungry, and I ended up probably eating too much. Just this past week I tweaked a few things, and it's working out better.

One thing I found that REALLY helps is eating a HEALTHY complex carb in the early afternoon (like Bulgur Wheat, Barley or Polenta) . And #2 is MORE WATER.

I've used the Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle way of eating in the past with success. I am sort of following it now, but not very strictly. I am eating the 5 meals with a mix of protein, carbs, and fat but not counting calories. I am also allowing myself some cheats. I wish I were following it more closely because I am sure my results would be even better.

Would you mind breaking down the ratio for me? or give me some idea of how it goes (menu wise)?

I thinking about just eating clean all day but getting rid of most of the carbs towards the evening!
