I know eating your veggies is better but is it just as good to drink like V8 with no sodium? would a can of V8 be used for a vegable serving.....with the protein and carbs....????

Hi,

I don't know the answer to that, but I have tried V8 and I thought it was disgusting!

I couldn't drink it, don't know what you could do with it.

As far as vitamins and minerals are concerned, V-8 could sub for a veggie serving. What you are missing out on, though, will be the fiber that comes with whole veggies, but if you make up for it during the rest of the day, I see no problem. (P.S. V-8 is yummy!)

I agree, I think it would count for a veggie serving, just missing fiber. And since it is cooked to pasteurize it, there might be something missing that you could only get from raw vegetables. But why quibble? If you enjoy it, I think it is a healthy thing to drink. I love carrot juice and drink it a couple of times a week as a veggie substitute.

V8 with NO SODIUM?? EEEEEWWWW GROSS!!

Never had it actually. Sounds like it would have NO flavor though. There is protein in V8?? That is news to me!! Without sodium though, I think it would be fine as a vegetable substitute..

Have you ever thought about making your own juices? I think juicing machines are fairly cheap now and you can buy juice books.

This is better than V-8 because fresh carrot juice is very nice to drink and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetables are healthier too.
