Eating clean

How do you eat clean, when you have an infant wanting/needing your attention? I find myself eating what is easy instead of what is not processed and healthier? I know I should eat fruits and veggies and grilled chicken and fish, but sometimes hamburger helper (I know it is horrible) is so much easier and faster. Or spagetti or whatever easy already frozen meals I can find. Any thoughts on how to eat cleaner faster??

I know exactly what you mean!!!!i have started juicing again which helps me get in my 5 a day. in the morning i combined green apple , lots of spinach, celery and carrots. it does taste good because of the apple and it also helps fill me up. as for the rest of the day i would say i am more of a grazer. also i buy those chicken selects short cuts and i put them on top of everything from salad to pasta. they taste great!!!

She just turned 7 months old and she is the first! It has gotten a little easier to cook with her recently, but I just feel bad since I already leave her to work all day. Maybe I could try juicing, so if there is a fruit in the mix it tastes pretty good.

And another question:

what were your cooking/eating habits like before having her? (or actually, before pregnancy) ;) Did you already try to "eat clean" back in your other life, or is this kind of a new concept?

I did really well with it. I probably still ate more processed foods than I should but I always tried to make heathy choices. I was really good with fruit, but only got in one or two veggie servings. I had time then to make egg whites for breakfast and lunch was probably always a struggle, but dinner was fish/chicken/pork and veggies. Maybe I need to look into some type of supplements/meal replacements for when I am on the go???
