Eat to Live Christmas gifts: follow up

Hey gang:

You may recall that I gave my friends all a copy of Eat to Live and a Tae Bo tape for Christmas this year. The gifts were met with very low enthusiasm and even a bit of outrage at the possible suggestion that it meant I thought they were FAT. (They are...) Well, it turns out that three of them read the book and are following it!! (Two couples and one single gal). I think that following ETL for any amount of time over about two weeks will open their eyes to how good they really can feel and hopefully will always be there as the standard to come back to if they go back to their heavy eating. Victory!!!

Now, the exercising is a different story... Having grown up doing all possible competitive sports, I simply do not understand how some people "forget" how important exercise is for your daily outlook. Honestly, most of my girlfriends quit as soon as they got their man. Absurd. There is no way I could keep up with my two careers without the energy and mood boost of hard daily workouts. But, I'll keep working on them! At least gthe ball has started rolling.:7

By the way, for those of you following the vegan diet (ala ETL), last night I had something really good: Cook a 1 lb bag of frozen mustard greens with a tiny of bit of olive oil, then mash up an avacado with about 1/4 cup of hummus and 1/4 cup of soy milk then mix it in with the greens. "Green creamed greens!"

Congratulations on getting your friends to try ETL.

Also, exercise can be very personal, and maybe Tae Bo didn't appeal to them. Keep trying, though! (Maybe after they're feeling healthier from following ETL, they'll feel more like doing something physical?)
