Eat right for your type

I am curious if anyone out there has read this book or subscribed to this method of eating. I bought the book years ago and dismissed it because I am a rare blood type (AB positive) and I like green bell peppers and bananas, two specific foods that were noted as foods I should avoid. I just started to revisit the book and have found that there are some things to really consider in it in terms of the way I actually feel when I eat certain foods which the author states can work against one's body depending upon blood type. Just curious if anyone else out there has taken the time to look at this book and what are you thoughts.
