DVD Player -- Oh what fun!!

Santa came a little late, but we finally got our DVD player. The model is a Sony DVP-C660 and it can play up to 5 DVD/CDs. I've hooked it up to our stereo receiver and the sound is great.

I tested programming across DVDs and it works beautifully. There is a little pause while it switches DVDs, but only for a few seconds.

The only downside is that we have this in our living room and not in my workout room, and I really don't want to disconnect it and carry it through the house, into and across the garage and into my workout room every time I want to use it, so I'll continue to use my laptop computer for workouts -- which means one DVD at a time and, of course, no programming across DVDs :-(.

Gee, I just can't make my husband understand why I need this in my workout room. On that note, maybe another DVD player will fall out of the sky and into my waiting hands ... oh well, a girl can dream! ;-).

Got one, too...

And Santa wasn't late with mine, but I don't have any DVD's for it!
It's been sitting there, all hooked up and ready to go since a few days after Christmas. My boyfriend got it for me just so I could do my Cathe workouts on DVD, and program my very own workouts. So sweet, isn't he :)
And my wonderful family, who loaded me up with Cathe VIDEOS--so thoughtful, but those don't work in a DVD player...(I tried ;-) )
So, I ordered Cardio Hits and it will be here tomorrow :)-jumpy), but I just can't bring myself to order the six pack on DVD when I have it on tape. But that's why I got this, so now is your chance, happy readers, to convince me to spend money that I shouldn't spend. (Please come up with some good reasons--I really want to order!!!)

PS Kimberly--You're going to have to work harder on that husband. Really all he needs is a single player in the living room. Your need is far greater than his!

I've got a reason for ya!

eBay! Take that existing 6 pack and slap its little fanny on eBay. You might just make enough to cover the cost of the DVD version. If you break it up, you'll have six opportunities to make enough $$ to pay for the DVD.

And start saving your pennies for the DVD version of PS! :):):)

Confession time . . . :)

2 different people this year bought me DVDs for Christmas, not realizing I don't have a DVD player. For the record, these were MOVIES, not exercise. While I knew that keeping the DVDs would be silly, since a DVD player is not in the current budget, a tiny voice was whispering what a GREAT excuse these gifts could give me for why I NEED a DVD player ( and the 6-pack, and Cardio Hits, and the CIAs when they come out on DVD . . . ). I DIDN'T go out and buy one, but OH, the temptation! :)
