Dr. Denese results

Cathlete
I've been using Dr. Denese's products for awhile now. Maybe a month? As I mentioned here before, her skin is SOOO fabulous-looking, and she's even older than I am, so I just had to try her products.

Just yesterday I noticed that my skin looked better. I was pretty surprised, because I had tried the products before with no results, but then I had been very inconsistent. I would use the facial pads some nights, and the hydroshield other nights, which isn't how the products are meant to be used. This time, I've used the facial firming pads AND hydroshield almost every single night. My skin is starting to look more youthful!

I'm going to give it another few weeks and see if the trend continues. If so, I'll probably start recommending it to people. I'll let you know how it works out.

Will do, Jacque. Has anyone else tried these products? I'd be very interested to hear your report.

Dr. Denese has great skin, but I bet you my favorite pair of shoes that she has had some work done. She's a dermatologist for Pete's sake. Not to say that her products are bad. I check out reviews at the qvc beauty forum all the time and for the most part people love her products. Although I've read that some people break out from the hydroshield, people that have gotten brown spots on their skin from the facial firming pads (that can happen when skin that has been treated with glycolic acid becomes in contact with the sun; it's always a good idea to use sunscreen), and I recently read a post from a woman that used the spf 30 cream before gardening and apparently it didn't protect her enough because she got a really bad sunburn. Hopefully you never experience that, but just know that it can happen.

I think it's pretty much trial and error with skincare. What works for someone's skin might be the worst thing ever for another. I love my Olay, but I've tried Dr.Wexler's line and I love it. I also like some products by Clinique. I definitely won't mention the long list of products that were a waste of money, but so far Olay, Wexler, and Clinique are the ones that work for my skin.

Rose, Dr. D. is very clear that the firming pads should be used only at night. But lots of people don't read directions! You're right. A lot of trial and error is necessary. I'm going to continue to try new things.

I'll be interested in hearing about your success with the OTC product. I've been using retinA, and really am seeing good results (in addition to a huge reduction in breakouts), but it's so darn expensive.

Glad to hear it Nancy.
Retin -a is a strong antioxidant that sheds skin layers. My Plastic surgeon givess it to me.You have to use a really good moisturizer with it.Retin a -a will help diminish the age spots. It takes time. I do not use it on crease lines or near the eyes.

I am using Laroche-Posay by biomedics and lovin it.I did the 21 day dermabrasion for wrinkles and 1 sacylic acid peel so far. Skin is looking better daily. I use Obaji elastiderm under my eyes..
The daily dermabrasion cleanser really works well.
I am happy with it for now.Only been using it a couple months, but i will let you know.
It is pricey.. But, my face is worth it.

From what i am understanding with skin care.
Your dermatology lines usually have this.
Vitamin e, Vit K and C are very good antioxidants for your skin..

Nancy, keep us posted.
What is the approx cost of the products.
I probably spent around 500 all together for the peels and dermabrasion, sunscreen, daily washes and moisturizers.
Approx 3 month supply.

Anne, there are so many different kinds of products, it is downright confusing. I rememberrd Dr. Denese saying there were 2 core products to her line, so I got those: http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail
Of course, QVC has great prices.

I'm open to trying whatever is recommended to me. At my age, price is a secondary consideration. It sounds like you are really seeing great results. Do you mind giving more detail about what you're using? Thanks!

Here is what i am using.
I started with the 21 day intense wrinkle treatment. It is a dermabrasion. It is pretty strong. You alternate days with a glycolic acid potent c combo and a night silicone sealer.

I use the dermabrasion cleanser every other day and the purifying cleanser daily.I use the makeup remover before at night.

Morning creams are day, potent c and athelios.
Night is the retin a(from PSurgeon)prescription, but they have one. You have to build this up in time. (it can make your skin bumpy), and active c and Obaji elastiderm.
I am doing a 30% acid peel every 2 weeks.I would start out with a 20%. It really makes you loose a layer.I was kind of afraid of it at 1st, but it was not bad.Face felt like a babies butt...after. I did feel like a snake after a couple days. Well worth it to me.Like a physicians chemical peel, slower. I thought of one of those and you look bad for like 3 weeks after. I have to work.
I did get it on e-bay. It was lot cheaper. The 21 day trmt is usually 160.
She carries most of it.Shipped quickly.

I found the Obaji Elastaderm on there too. it usually goes for 85. I paid 49.
