Charlotte - it can take up to a week to feel 100% normal. You're not very heavy, so it might take longer for you as a larger percentage of your blood was removed. Make sure you're getting plenty of iron and rest. If you're not feeling better by Friday, see your doctor.

Christine,

Now that makes sense to me. Yeah, I have been resting. Feel guilty taking naps in the middle of the day when things need to be done, but I am taking naps cuz I got to listen to my body or be nasty around everyone at home! I took a nap in the middle of BC yesterday...isn't that terrible? LOL! So much for cardio.

Charlotte~~

Amazing what volunteering with the Red Cross can teach you - eh? ;-) Definitely listen to your body. You know better than most. Although I can honestly admit that I've never taken a nap in the middle of BC! That's a new one... :+

Speaking of donating blood, our pit bull Amber is our vet's favorite blood donor b/c she has a universal type of blood and can give to all dogs. They called this morning and were in desperate need of her blood today. So that's where she is - donating blood. :)

Charlotte - I hope you recover soon. You've probably pushed yourself too hard knowing you!!!

Susan

Thanks sweetie! I hope tomorrow I will be feeling better cuz I don't like this. I got to get these legs of mine in shape and I need the energy to work them hard!

I never thought about pets donating blood. How much do they take at one time for the dogs?

Charlotte~~

Charlotte,

Oh my gosh - I think they took all her blood! Poor thing has absolutely NO energy. She can't even stand up long without shaking. And she went outside and came in shaking b/c she was so cold. She's been sleeping all night. I feel so bad for her. But she helped to save a little Pug today. They were soooo thankful! They needed to take some more blood to test it but they didn't think her little body could take it today so she will go back Friday. She's not gonna like that!

I hope you're better.

Susan
