DOMS in my calves for the first time

I did Cathe's May leg day last night - 2 sets of 64 calf raises off the bench. Ow-ow-ow. My little calves are singing today!

Is anyone else doing this rotation? I just want to know who has the room to do 200 walking lunges? That's 5 round trips along my entire first floor! Why is that any more beneficial than a regular lunge?
 
That's pretty cool. Calves are the hardest muscles to really feel the burn b/c you use them so much in your normal, everyday life.

So do these calve raises incorporate weights? I use the standing calve raise at the gym @ 120 lbs (3 sets 15), but I'm ready to try something new.
 
Ha! Donna I was just complaining that my calves are killin me too! how weird! i am starting that rotation on Monday! I was wondering where in the world i was gonna do those lunges. i guess i'll go out in the yard or the driveway. my neighbors already think i'm nuts anyway!

would those calve raises be from GS legs? then yes... i get DOMS from them! OWIE!!!!

I am not doing the rotation but you read my mind! My calves have been *screaming* for the past week. I don't know why either b/c there are no new workouts that I have done or anything.
 
The calf raises in GS Legs kill me too! OUCH! I can't finish them all, I have to stop and rest while Cathe and crew keep on raisin'. I don't know how they do it. Those things make my calves burn so bad. I did it yesterday and am very surprised that I don't have DOMS in my calves today, because last time I did it I sure did have DOMS - for like 3 days! ;)
 
I did the standing portion of GS-Legs last Sunday. The calf work there more than burns. It's Friday, and my calves are still feeling it! Not as bad as Monday and Tuesday, however. Going up and down our stairs just about killed me. This is why I wasn't able to put in any cardio 'til yesterday. I knew I couldn't do an IMAX so I did RS, and still felt it.

I'm doing the May rotation, but I'm not doing the leg portion. I'm subbing a leg workout for the leg day.
