I was in the office of one of my coworkers the other day and she had a copy of The Kite Runner that she borrowed from someone. I told her that I needed to get it because of the book club. I got a $5 coupon from Media Play, so yesterday I bought a copy of the book.

Today the coworker brought me a going away present because it's my last day. Guess what it was? I didn't tell her I already bought it. I'm using the receipt as a bookmark, so I guess I'll take it back and exchange it for something else.

You know...I used to drive my brother crazy because I'd say I wanted something and go buy it myself. Right about the same time that he had bought it for my birthday or Christmas.

Donna!! I do the same thing. I am going to get my barbell set today that is only costing me $25. I can't wait until my birthday next month. It is July 28, all the way at the end!!!

I want a high step too, so I guess DH will just have to buy the $59 high step instead of the $25 barbell set.... I hate it for him.}(

I usually buy my own gifts from him and he just gives me the money. It works best that way.

One exception, this past December we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and he surprised me with a diamond anniversary band. I was speehless and that is saying a lot for me!!
