Dog question

Lst night our dog was acting very weird. He would go into the "play" position with front paws down and butt in the air but would stay there for minutes. Also acting very lethargic for him and wanted to go outside every 5 minutes and then did nothing. He seems more like his usual energetic, mischievious self this morning but wandering if anyone has a clue what this was all about?

Is it super hot and humid where you live? I know my poochie was also sleepy and lethargic last night and I'm sure it's because it's so gross outside. He didn't really get up when I got home, and when I took him out, he was slow and just kind of ambled by my side. If we're feeling drained from the weather, imagine how they feel, with their fur coats and all!:)

He was in AC and outside very little. And wanting to go out constantly is not usual. I was wondering if he was constipated or something was stuck. He has never stayed in that posture like that.

Make sure he is pottying today(#1 & #2). Animals do strange things when they have a blockage to try and find comfort. I had a boston terrier that one day started only walking on her front legs. We took her to the vet and they xrayed her thinking her back was damaged. She was just constipated. My mom's dog acted weird when she had bladder stones. Good luck, hope he's OK.

Jean - Good to know tht they do act weird when they have a blockage so maybe that was it. He was doing #1 & #2 but not much #2. He wasn't trying to go when we went out just walking around smelling and acting strange. Odd for him to want to go out that frequently though. A bigger #2 this morning. I read that pumpkin was good because of the fiber so he had some of that last night. Loved it but not much he doesn't love. He likes to pick up things he shouldn't and eat whatever so a blockage is always a possibility. He is quick and when it is dark he can get something and swallow it without you knowing. Thanks.
