Dog bite statistics

Hi Janie! I would get a GS in a heartbeat ... they are great family dogs. From your previous posts, I think you are so diligent on training, watching behavior, and doing your homework that you would be a great GS owner. Here in Colorado, everyone seems to have big dogs so I've never heard anything negative. So many people here run/hike/bike with their dogs.

Her name was Sushi. :)

Awe thanks.

I love that name "Sushi!" My favorite food. Chows are so cute, . . like bears.
Colorado, . . . I'm daydreaming, . . I'd love to visit there someday. I bet you have great hiking and mountain biking trails.
California is deffinitely a doggie paradise but I think that the majority of people where I live prefer the "Paris Hilton" purse dogs to the large roll in the mud and catch a frisbee dogs.

I think big dogs are better for cuddling! Maximus has a strong shoulder for me to lean on. Plus, it's kind of funny to see people cross the street to get away from your BIG BAD dog! LOL
One of my favorite Dog Whisperer episodes was with a mastiff. At the very end Cesar was using the mastiff as a pillow on the floor and commented how you can't do that with a chihuahua.:D
