I have been looking at Trigger Point Therapy products and wondered if any fellow Cathletes would care to give me their opinion about them? I am particularly interested in the foot/lower leg items, but I can see the benefit of the Total Body System as well.
Here's the webstie I found: Trigger Point Performance Therapy
I appreciate any advice I can get on this!
Hi Nancy -- I have and use the TP grid, as well as the foot/lower leg package. Myofascial (sp?) release and working on my trigger points have done wonders for me as I get older. They are good products. That said, if you want to save money, you could get a tennis ball or hackeysack-sized ball, a yoga foam block, and a basic foam roller.
I highly recommend that you buy the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook, as well. B&N carries it.
In addition, a monthly deep muscle massage really makes a difference for me. The kind of massage that hurts like bejesus, you are sore afterward, but two days later, you feel wonderful.
