Does anyone feel like being an enabler?

I've been sick for over a week now. I've taken lots of rest days, which doesn't please me one little bit. I finally went to the doctor today and I have a bronchial infection. Now, I realize I shouldn't probably do cardio, but do you think it would be harmful if I did weights (nothing heavy)?

Shelly,

Lay off from exercising for your health sake. Please, you are just going to prolong the illness, or get sicker. Lay off will ya? Give it a rest for a week, better yet a little longer.

We love you and want you better.

Janie

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

OMG Shelley I read this title and almost replied without reading... I would have said: JUST BUY IT. YOU'LL GET THEM ALL EVENTUALLY. :+

But after reading your post... I have to go read what all the other enablers said... but I would probably suggest if you have to... how about changing your cupboards around or something?? That's real world weight training, and you get the calorie burn, and you'll be pooped, AND you have something to show for it! ;)

Hi,

It may hurt you psychologically, but physically it will probably do you good to take a couple of days off. Take it from another who hates to take days off.

I am the queen of brochitis and have learned from past experience (bad exercise choices) that it is best to lay off and let the body rest and do what it needs to heal. Not what you want to hear but mayebe what you need to????????? I'm sorry you're sick.

>Chest (bronchial infections) can cause serious troubles if
>you do not rest and heal. If it's in the head (cold) it's ok
>as long as you feel ok. If it's in the chest DO NOT EXERCISE.
> It can cause serious problems including heart trouble.

I absoposilutely agree with this 110%. Now BEHAVE or I'm gonna have to come up there and deal with you;) .

I've learned the hard way, REST during most illness is the BEST way to go. I hope you feel better soon!

Shelley, you really need to lay off all forms of exercise for a while. Your body is trying to fight the infection as it is and it really won't have the energy to do that if you keep wearing it down by any form of exercise!

NO I will NOT be your enabler in this!!!!}( :p Besides, I seem to remember someone making sure I did not feel so bad when I couldn't workout for a week for the flu last month!!! Take a dose of your own medicine, woman!!!
