Does anyone else have a "roller baby"

MarleysMom

What I mean by that is my 4 month old DD who was sleeping through the night has become a "roller baby" at 5:30 am all the sudden. She sleeps next to the bed in her pack n play and she will roll from side to side and kick the pack n play starting at 5:30. It is funny, but she now will not sleep the extra 1.5 hours she was sleeping. We are thinking about moving her into her own room and her crib, but she hates her crib. She won't even take a nap in it, so we are at a loss.

Taking sugguestions!

RE: Does anyone else have a

I know that my ds changes his sleep patterns for anywhere between a couple of days to a week and then suddenly goes right back to where he was to begin with. I can never explain why this happens but sometimes he will wake at nite or VERY early in the morning, Oh and I had a little trouble with my ds sleeping in his crib also and what worked was putting him in the crib facing the short way, He liked his feet touching the bars and I guess it did not feel so big to him. I must say that it took a couple of days to get him used to it but know he loves his crib so much he wont even go inot his big boy bed(go figure)Hope this helps

I don't know where you live, but in the Midwest, our time will change so that everything is one hour later. My kids are waking up earlier and earlier because the sun is rising earlier. So, in a month or so, your child will be awaking at 6:30, not 5:30. That's my only thought. kristan

Hey you!!!
Yes, Hannah started rolling in her 3rd month but in her 4th and 5th month she would roll in her sleep, occasionally it would wake her up but in the middle of the night and I would go in give her her binky and she'd go right back to sleep. It didn't last very long at all. She figured out what was going on ;-)
It's so cute when they roll!

Kristan,
We are in Illinois and having the same problem. DD use to get up around 7:00am... now, we are lucky if it is 6:00am. Can't wait for the time change. I've been putting her to bed earlier in order for her to get the same amount of sleep -- it seems to be helping. She was getting pretty crabby due to that lack of 1 hours sleep...
Glad to know it is not just us having this issue :)
