Does Anybody Wear Wigs?

Some years ago I was thinking of wearing wigs just for fashion. I mean, why not? We accessorize with jewelry, scarves, even fashionable glasses, so why not with wigs? My hair has been thinning out quite a bit over the years and it's gotten to a point where I may have to seriously consider wearing one out of necessity or convenience. I'm getting a bit frustrated at attempting to style my hair so it looks decent on a daily basis. I love the days that I say, WHO CARES!!!!! Perhaps after the holidays I may look seriously into this. I'd like different wigs with different styles and colors. I don't know why more people don't change their look with wigs. I think it would be fun! I just have to try and find some that look natural. Do you get used to the feeling of having them on your head? Do they stay in place in all kinds of weather? Can someone recommend a certain brand? Any input would be great! Thanks very much!

Hi Bam,

I wore those fake ponytails that you can buy at the stands in the mall...for at least two years straight! I became dependent on them because they were so easy to put on and use...I have since cut my hair quite short (actually, Katie Holmes just recently went out and got my haircut!!! haha) so I don't wear them anymore...but they are lots of fun...If you decide to go with them, I recommend not washing them like you would your regular hair...they tend to dry out and become straw-like. I used to wash them once every few weeks with a little bit of water and conditioner that I would brush through it and let it air dry...

Thanks JTreddin! My hair has never been long enough to wear the ponytails but I wish I could, however, my mane (get it :+ ) problem is the top of my hair so I need coverage there. So you're the one Katie copied. Don't you have first comers rights to that hairdo? lol I wouldn't let her get away with stealing your do.:7
