Do I work out tomorrow morning?

Okay, I think they say (who are "they," anyway?) that if you are sick but it is in your head (i.e. stuffy nose, sore throat) it's okay to work out, but if it is in your chest (congestion), you shouldn't. I am asking because I have a stuffy nose, sore throat, post-nasal drip, headache, and am feeling kind of achy (but don't feel like I have a fever) and didn't do my morning work out this morning. I did work out really hard Sunday and Monday. Anyway, I am still feeling ill and wonder if it would hurt if I work out tomorrow morning. While I know it won't hurt me not to work out, I hate the way I feel when I don't (it's the way I start my morning) and I enjoy it. But...I don't want to chance getting sicker.

I do get up at 0445 to work out. Maybe I could sleep in and try to work out after work. But...that would mess me up for the next morning!!! Grrrrr!!! See the things us devoted exercisers must deal with?! ;)

What do you guys think? If I had one of Cathe's stretch w/o's, I'd probably be okay,

The DVD's I have are:

Full Body Weights

Muscle Max-68 min.

IMAX 3-60 min.
Hardcore Extreme High/Low Intervals-73 min.

Lower Body

Legs & Glutes-51 min.

Other Cardio

Kick, Punch and Crunch-68 min.
Cardio Kicks-60 min.
Maximum Intensity Cardio-70 min.
Wedding-52 min.
Kick Max-70 min.

All Step

Step Blast-55 min.
Step Fit-71 min.
Step Heat-59 min.
Step Jam-60 min.
Step Max-60 min.
Mega Step Blast

I am thinking of adding Core Max, Cardio Fusion (but I wonder if I will be bored because it's a mix of 3 I already have), IMAX 2. Any other suggestions???

Sorry for the long post. I appreciate any help!!!

I'd say if you feel up to it, try. You can always stop. I don't think you'll make your self any sicker, but listen to your body. If you can't then you just can't. You don't want to end up tripping or hurting your self w/ poor form bc you feel to bad to stand up straight. If you do chose to w/o maybe do something a little easier. Maybe just go for a walk to clear your head. If you're set on Cathe, maybe step only from IMAX 3 - its fairly easy, or the Kick Box only from KM - no blast. I'd stay away from weights til you're not so achy and you are sure you'll keep good form - you don't want to hurt yourself. Just my 2 cents

Hi Lorie,

I have always used fever as a rule of thumb for working out or not working out.

If I have a fever, I don't work out, no matter what.

If I don't have a fever, I work out I may modify if I am feeling under the weather though.
