DIY t-shirts: a question about iron-on transfers

I'd like to make my own t-shirt using a performance shirt such as an Under Armour tee, which is 95% polyester and 5% elastane. Does anyone know of a brand/type of iron-on transfer that would work on material like this?

In the past I have used iron-ons w/ regular cotton tees, but this is for a marathon (and I'll be out there a loooooong time :p), so I want to use a comfortable, wicking fabric.

I am hoping there is a coach or mom/dad or fabric expert among this crowd who might be able to steer me in the right direction. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Thanks for your response, Kathryn. The iron-on transfers I have found in stores are for cotton/polyester blend only. I had googled, too, without getting very far. Unfortunately, the Berda transfers have to be applied using a heat press, not a home iron, so that won’t work, but I do very much appreciate your trying to help!

I'm sure I'll figure out a solution somehow, even if it means getting creative! :)

Cheers,
Cathy
