difference in results?

I'd love to hear someone's opinion on the difference in results from doing Weight Watchers to lose weight vs. doing a more traditional "body building type" diet (i.e. egg whites, chicken, veggies etc) I have no doubt a person can lose weight on either but why would one choose one over the other? If I did Weight Watchers would I lose weight but not be as cut? Weight Watchers is infinitely easier to live with on a daily basis than the other but if it won't give me the results I want there's no point in doing it. Assume the end result I want is a CAthe-type body.

Hi Cbelle, I did Weight Watchers and lost 40 pounds and six sizes in six months. I was doing the Firm the first three months, then found Cathe and got hooked of course!! The inches flew off when I started doing Cathe. I'm getting fabulous muscle definition doing Cathe's strength training tapes now, while maintaining my goal weight now for three months. As for becoming cut through diet, I know there are a lot of theories out there that suggest building muscle is as much a function of what you eat as what you lift. I suppose it would depend on your primary goal. If you're trying to lose weight and build muscle at the same time, I know most theories would suggest it's difficult to do. You usually lose a bit of muscle tissue along with fat while you're on a weight loss program. So I suppose I would tell you that if your end result is to get a Cathe-type body, it sounds like you would benefit more from a body building type diet program. I know several people on here do Body for Life, and I believe there is a group doing Physique Transformation as well, both of which sound like they would be in line with your goals. I don't know enough about either of these to give you details, but I'm sure someone on here could help you with them. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck!! Hope this helps!!
