difference in results?

I'd love to hear someone's opinion on the difference in results from doing Weight Watchers to lose weight vs. doing a more traditional "body building type" diet (i.e. egg whites, chicken, veggies etc) I have no doubt a person can lose weight on either but why would one choose one over the other? If I did Weight Watchers would I lose weight but not be as cut? Weight Watchers is infinitely easier to live with on a daily basis than the other but if it won't give me the results I want there's no point in doing it. Assume the end result I want is a CAthe-type body.
