Cathlete
I am new to cathe but not to exericse. I am 130 and would like to get to 120. I have basic step + body fusion and just got boot camp + muscle endurance. I'd like to lose weight/fat and define/shape muscle. My problem is I dont know what to feed my body. What is clean diet I've read on some of the posts. Anyone has any ideas on how I can see results faster? I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks.

Holy crow!!! That's quite the leap you're making from Basic Step and Body Fusion to BC and ME! You perhaps should have taken some steps in between there;)

How tall are you? Are you certain you need to lose weight? Or do you just maybe need to tone up and build some muscle definition?

Can you give us an idea of what you're eating now? A typical day, perhaps? That would be helpful to know where you can play with diet.:)

Oh, and welcome!

I've watched BC and ME and I really think I have the endurance to do it. I'm about 5 foot, weight 130, and wear a size 10. A typical day is: breakfast: instant oatmeal, cereal, or fruit and cottage cheese; snack: maybe a banana; lunch: usually a salad with chicken or tuna; dinner: salad, vegies, and steak or grilled chicken. I'm very new to diet and nutrition so I realize I'm not understanding the principles or doing it correctly. I guess for my height, I'm considered overweight. So I guess I want to lose some weight tone up and build muscle def.

Thanks for your input.

For exercise I do step a couple times per week, I have Firm tapes that I mix in to get exercise with weights; my husband has an exericse machine that helps with weight and resistance - I am not consistent with that; I also walk every evening for about 1/2 hr.

First, I would suggest you find out how many calories you should be eating. Often times we exercise our hearts out but don't lose anything because we aren't eating enough. You can starve yourself, but that's not healthy or adviseable. Try this link

then divide your total calories into 4 or 5 meals. Do some searches on healthy eating which is mainly to eat whole grains, lean meats, lots of veggies and fruit. This is vague though you'll find more specific info when you do an internet search.
