Did you know before you missed your period?

Okay, maybe this is wishful or paranoid thinking, I can't really tell which, but did anyone out there know you were pregnant before you missed your period? I may have to eat my hat,but I am almost sure I'm pregnant. I haven't missed my period yet. I am due Friday. Figure I'd just be wasting my money if I took a test right now, so am going to wait until next weekend to actually take a test. It is driving me crazy though. I had a miscarriage in August (my baby would have been due 3 weeks ago), which increases my anxiety even more. I keep thinking maybe this feeling is more about that then that I am really pregnant. The days are dragging.

Thanks!

I was pretty sure, but only because I had implantation bleeding. Thought I was starting my period but when another day and a half had passed with no further bleeding, I was pretty sure what that meant.

I did a test that is supposed to work as early as 4 days before your period is due, and it turned positive very fast! I think I took it a couple of days before I was due.

I'm very sorry about your miscarriage and hope you are pregnant again!

Good luck,
Dana

I've been pregnant twice - I miscarried the first one. Both times, I knew I was pregnant before I got a positive pregnancy test. My nipples were really sore and I had strange cramping/twinge sensations.

As a side note, I was devistated when I miscarried my first pregnancy. And then I was totally paranoid about the first half of my next pregnancy!! I think about my first miscarriage now and it doesn't bother me that bad. I can't imagine life without my little guy - if I wouldn't have gone through the first miscarriage I wouldn't have known quite how much I really really wanted a child AND I would have never of had the chance to even meet my little guy I have right now!

Best wishes!!

I knew exactly one week after conception that I was pregnant. I just didn't feel right especially when exercising that particular morning I found I had to keep stopping to catch my breath. By the end of that (my favourite workout - IMAX2!!) I knew I just had to be with child. When my period should have been due I got the usual cramps but that was it so I took a test and hey presto! POSITIVE :)

I'm 14.5 weeks now and haven't stopped smiling since :)

Good luck and keep us posted

I guess I am in the minority here. Neither time did I have a clue that I was pregnant until I took the test. I took the test on the day that I should have started both times. I did not really have symptoms until approximately four weeks into the pregnancy and that is usually when I start throwing up. This usually does not end until about the fifth month. But in the beginning I felt no sickness, no soreness, no cramping, or anything.

I really hope you are pregnant but if not just have fun trying again. Don't get too uptight because that makes it a little more difficult. I know that is easy for me to say, right? Those tests are pretty sensitive and can show pregnancy even before you are suppose to start your period. You could do one now and then if it is negative and you still don't start you can wait a few days and try again. Who knows, it might show positive right now!!! We all want to know!!!

Yes last time I was pretty sure I knew, but only because I picked up a copy of "Taking Charge of your fertility" a little late into my cycle, and realized we should have been using protection when we had "relations". It was day number 12 and I thought I was still safe until the mucous signs, BUT...I was wrong, and I just knew that as fertile as I seem to be (this is baby number 6 and I've never miscarried) that this time wouldn't be any different. The funny thing was I had ordered natural cotton tampons from our coop and when I went to the pick up.....out of my whole order, they were the only thing that didn't come in. When I read that...it was like something inside just told me "see you won't be needing these for the next year!!" I did take the test like 2-3 days before my period was to arrive and there was a slight pink line that DID show up (I just couldn't wait until I had missed it). I believe I threw something at my husband because I was wanting to wait another year or 3, BUT now I am holding the sweetest little boy in the whole world and the easiest baby we have ever had!!! He even likes the carseat (my others hated this). Many best wishes and prayers for a positive pregnancy test and safe and healthy pregnancy!! Let us know
